On fluids with pressure-dependent viscosity flowing through a porous medium
Žabenský, Josef ; Pokorný, Milan (advisor)
Experimental data convincingly show that viscosity of a fluid may change significantly with pressure. This observation leads to various generalizations of well-known models, like Darcy's law, Stokes' law or the Navier-Stokes equations, among others. This thesis investigates three such models in a series of three published papers. Their unifying topic is development of existence theory and finding a weak solution to systems of partial differential equations stemming from the considered models.
Life insurance as a substantial stimulus of chosen business subject's employees
Balabán, František ; Pokorný, Milan (referee) ; Martinovičová, Dana (advisor)
This diploma work is engaged in the issue of the life assurance. It includes the proposal of the product from the life assurance branch for the start of the chosen business subjekt that the best corresponds with the dedicated requirements.
Performance parameters measuring of combustion engines
Pokorný, Milan ; Pexa, Martin (advisor) ; Kotek, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis is focused on issues related to performance measurement of combustion engines. In the first chapter, these parameters are presented and discussed. Also shown here is a summary of the measurement methods used. The next two chapters these methods are divided. They mentioned their pros and cons, as well as devices that are used to implement them. In each of these chapters is described and evaluated its own measurements, which took place at the Department of quality and reliability of machines. The last chapter deals with describing some methods of measuring fuel consumption and a brief description of emission.
Harvesting of emelctromagnetic energy in 24 GHz band
Rokos, Lukáš ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis describes basic principles of an electromagnetic energy harvesting and its potential use. To gain the energy, a rectenna (rectifying antenna) is selected. The rectenna consists of a patch antenna, a matching circuit and a rectifier circuit. The thesis describes a design of the patch antenna operating at 24 GHz and its matching to the microstrip line with the characteristic impedance 50 . Then, the circuit for matching the rectified is designed using an open-ended stub. The last part of the thesis describes several types of rectifier circuits to be used potentially. Functionality of the designed rectenna has been verified in ANSYS Designer.
Marketing Communication of Engine Tables Brand on the Social Networks
Pokorný, Marek ; Plachký, Leoš (referee) ; Chlebovský, Vít (advisor)
Target of bachelor's theasis is to propagate Engine Tables brand on new social networks and improve propagation on exist social networks. The theoretical part describes theoretical basics of marketing, basic concepts of marketing and methods of work. In the analytics part are basic information about company, marketing problems, PEST analysis, market analysis and competition. In the last part are all results, their efficiency, financial demands and contribution of individual solutions.
Software Tool for Investment Project Evaluation
Pokorný, Michal ; Staněk, Jan (referee) ; Režňáková, Mária (advisor)
This bachelor thesis engages in design and creation of software tool for supporting decision making in comparison of success between potential investment projects. The tool is capable of evaluating recovery of investment by using The Net present value method and Internal rate of return. The risk exposure is taken into account by the Modified net present value and modeling by Monte Carlo method implemented using Microsoft Visual Basic for Application.
Vertically polarized Yagi antenna with magnetic dipole
Weigel, Filip ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the principles of operation and simulation of planar Yagi antennas with a magnetic dipole. Simulation of electromagnetic field was performed in the simulator CST MICROWAVE STUDIO (CST MWS). The project compares results of simulations of several types of Yagi antennas. These antennas can be used for the communication along the living tissue (on-body communication).
Smith Chart Visualization Tool
Marek, Martin ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Kadlec, Petr (advisor)
The objective of my bachelor thesis was to create a Smith chart visualization tool in computing environment MATLAB. I created an impedance Smith chart in graphical user interface which delineate parameters of basic line types. Parameters of transmission lines can be defined in the Smith chart as normalized impedance, reflection coefficient, normalized admittance or impedance in combination with line’s characteristic impedance. It is also possible to design simple matching circuits, e.g. with quarter-wave transformer, series stub, parallel stub or matching circuits with lumped elements.
Antennas for GSM bands
Rousek, Jiří ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Pítra, Kamil (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with miniaturization techniques of the planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA). In bachelor thesis were simulated antennas for the GSM bands using meandering of the radiating patch, capacitive load and U-slolts. Influence of parameters of each miniaturization techniques on the antenna size and parameters were studied. The process of designing the antennas is described in detail. Selected models of antennas were adapted to given dielectric substrate and constructed. The measured results are presented and compared with simulations.
