Title of the dissertation: Basic elements of freestyle snowboarding Aim of the dissertation: The aim of the dissertation is to make a video programme of freestyle snowboarding disciplines. Work method: Analysing theoretical source materials Creating theoretical descriptions of tricks to be used in the video Making the video recording - selecting tricks and jumps - choosing snowboarders - choosing terrain Making the instruction video - editing the material that has been filmed - sound commentary - creating graphics Results: Freestyle snowboarding is a sport which is gaining in popularity among both children and adults. Therefore our work will serve not only as an introduction to the basics of freestyle snowboarding but it can also help people to become proficient in it. Analysis of avalanche activity in Giant Mountains during 1999 - 2009

Comparation of relationships between fysical performance and performance in sport climbing

of work Aim - to contribute to the knowledge st ruktury performance in sport climbing especially in racing climbers. Methods of work - the research part of the work consists of studies that is focused on comparing the relationship between standardized motor tests, and performance in sport climbing, characterized by the realization of the output climbing routes. Selected on the basis of anamnestic data, antropomet rických data and physical performance test motor was using NCSS software formed correlation matrices. Results of work - from anamnestic data were selected - best performance achieved by climbing, climbing length of experience, gender, occupation and weekly training load, the ant ropometrických - body height, body weight; tests of motor - hand dynamomet ries, chin nadhmatem, vis on the toolbar, endurance in the chin, deep in the recumbent seat, frog. Live dependence of individual i are explained by the correlation matrix. First we fascinated by the relationship between performance in terms of climbing OS overhanging climbing two different but similar ways, and other factors affect climbing performance. Map Design for Orienteering

5 ABSTRAKT Title: Map Design For Orienteering Thesis Goal: The main goal of the thesis is to design an updated map of the educational center of FTVS UK in the Stráž nad Nežárkou for the purpose of teaching orienteering based on literature, theory and participation on an introductory course for cartographers, which is lead by experienced map designers. The secondary goal is to describe the process of map design for orienteering in a concise way and hence create a manual that can be used by teachers of orienteering for design of maps for educational purposes. Method: The work described in the thesis was carried out based on literature on orienteering, particularly on map design for orienteering, and also based on knowledge gained in an introductory cartography course taught by professional map designers. The methodology of map design comprised the following steps: a) selection and preparation of materials, b) field work, when facts are marked in a map and hence the input for further processing is created, and c) the design of the final map in the cartographical software OCAD 9. This process was then concisely written down. Motivation to do Snowboarding

To pi c : Motivation to Do Snowboarding Aim: The aim of this paper is to achieve a deeper understanding of snowboarders' motivation, to introspect riders, and to find out why they are attracted to this sport so much; what it means for them and why it becomes their lifestyle. It has been surveyed what kind of people do snowboarding, why they travel to the mountains, and why they spend a lot of effort, pain, time and money to enjoy their ride. Me tho ds : For this research the method of questionnaire was chosen. The results were statistically elaborated by Microsoft Excel programme. Re s ul t s : The survey results have shown that the majority of snowboarders do this sport with regard to the time spent in the countryside, the chance to free themselves and escape everyday life. A strong incentive is the excitement of adrenaline raising during the ride. The relationships among people have also been confirmed significant. Snowboarding is a certain way to meet friends and make new social contacts. On the contrary, the minimum number of respondents consider snowboarding a means of self-fulfilment. Most of the respondents do not do snowboarding to reach success and other people's recognition but to enjoy joyful moments. They are keen on snowboarding itself, with everything it brings and offers.
