This diploma thesis deals with the design of modular production interchangeable machine for fuel hub assembly based on customer requirements and standards for safety and ergonomics. The thesis also includes a conceptual design of a universal machine for setting up different versions of modular production interchangeable machines and a drawing documentation of selected assemblies and manufactured parts.
Analysis of the use of the "instant center of rotation" method in the calculation of atypical welds in numerical computational modeling

The usage of welding for connection of two materials is common method for its speed, economy and its potential automatization. But when the statically loaded weld connection is designed and simulated using FEA, the singularity appears, so the deformation and stress can’t be presented as relevant. For elimination of this influence the Instantaneous center of rotation (ICR) method can be used. This method assess only the angles of reaction force from segments of weld. This thesis is focused on the effect of material, geometry, loads, supports and magnitude of loading force on the position of ICR. In the first part of thesis, the ICR method is compared with elastic method, which is the other potential method for weld assessment. The basics of each method are presented. For the second part, the normativ design of weld is created and assessed using both of potential methods for solution. The numercial model is created in the next step. The model is then calculated for numerous combination of materials, geometry, FE mesh and loads. Last part of this theses the results are compared between numerical and analytical solution of position of ICR. Also the best combination of geometry and material was chosen for the best results.
Compensation of missing air resistance while running on a treadmill

This work is focused on compensation of missing air resistance while running on a treadmill. The aim is to find the possibilities of compensation and its verification by a slight inclination of the treadmill. For the verification, we used the heart rate values of (6) probands obtained while running on a treadmill with different grade and while outdoor running at the same speed. The output of this thesis is the determination of the treadmill grade compensation at speed of 10,5 km/h and 13,5 km/h.
Hydromorphology as a component part of ecological condition of water bodies

Today, the study of fluvial-morphological processes is focused on evaluating hydromorfological status of streams and on proposing restoration measures. A fundamental prerequisite for assessing the current hydromorphological status of streams is establishing reference conditions for each stream type that serve as a benchmark and represent the target status after restoration. The aim of this thesis is to describe type-specific hydromorphological reference conditions for rivers on the territory of the Czech Republic with the help of determining river types, developing the REFCON method for establishing reference sites and recording characteristics of reference status. The approach to establishing reference sites is based on meeting the criteria of having minimal anthropogenic impact that are first assessed using cartographic data and subsequently verified through field survey. Parameters - altitude, sinuosity, and valley floor slope - for classifying river reaches into types were determined on the basis of the results of statistical methods applied on 3197 river reaches covering the whole territory of the Czech Republic. Comparison of different exercise protocols

The aim of this thesis was to summarize current findings about exercise testing. The main goal was to evaluate protocols used in daily practice, their indications and benefits, comparability and parameters that can influence the results. The purpose of the practical part was to compare the maximal values of physiological parameters (heart rate, VO2, minute ventilation, RER, power output and rated perceived exertion) for the two most commonly used protocols for bicycle ergometry tests in the Czech Republic. We compared ramp (1/3W.kg-1 .min-1 ) and step (1W.kg-1 every 3 min) incremental protocols to exhaustion. Thirteen young, healthy and physically fit subjects (9 males and 4 women aged from 20 to 31 years) underwent two tests in separate occasions, during which they performed the protocols in random order. Paired t-test was used to statisticaly analyze the data. We found no statisticaly significant differences in these maximal values except for the exercise test time. We deduced some practical benefits of each protokol from obtained data.
Transport behavior of Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant employees and their motivation to move closer to workplace

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of transport behavior of eployees of Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant employees and their economic migration. The power plant is situated on the border of the Vysocina Region and the South Moravian Region. It is an important employer in terms of lowering unemployment especially in the Trebic region. The main aims of this bachelor thesis are identification parameters of mobility behavior for the reason of commuting to work and finding the limits of willingness to move closer to the place of work. Identification of transport behavior is mainly based on choosing conveyance, which depends on individual economic conditions. Furthermore, it is linked to the accessibility of an area of person's residence and to the number of his or her family members. The data obtained from the questionnaires survey were analyzed and compared with the literature. At the end of the thesis, all the procedures and results of this work are evaluated and another possible extension of work is proposed. XXIII Czech-Polish seminar: Structural and ferroelectric phase transitions

This is the Book of Abstracts for the XXIII Czech-Polish Seminar (CPSEM-2018 conference) held in Kouty on May 21 - 25, 2018. The special objective of the conference is expressed in the conference subtitle: Structural and Ferroelectric Phase Transitions. The continuous worldwide interest to this conference series is proving that it has a respected position within the series of International/European conferences covering all interdisciplinary field of the research related to structural and ferroelectric phase transitions. At the CPSEM-2018 conference more than 110 participants from 14 countries all over the world presented 16 invited lectures and selected 36 oral contributions. About 60 posters were presented during two poster sessions.
Computational modeling of radial hydrodynamic bearings for water machines

The aim of this thesis is to calculate the stiffness and damping coefficients for radial hydrodynamic bearings. Cylindrical and lemon hydrodynamic bearings are considered. The solution to this problem mainly depends on the hydrodynamic pressure in the bearing. The numerical solution of the Reynolds equation is used to calculate the pressure. The effect of variable viscosity and density of the lubricant due to temperature changes is considered. The static equilibrium position of the journal centre is also solved. The stiffness and damping coefficients are determined using small amplitude journal motions about the equilibrium position. Three methods for determining these coefficients are presented. The outcome of this thesis is an algorithm for the calculation of stiffness and damping coefficients for cylindrical and lemon bearings. Results for lemon bearings are presented and comparison with the commercial software DynRot BR is made. The benefit of this thesis is the creation of an algorithm for the calculation of journal centre equilibrium position, a new way of incorporating the temperature changes in the viscosity and the density of the lubricant, and the modification of a method for calculating stiffness and damping coefficients based on experimental analogy.
A Machine for Automatic Subject Indexing Using ToC

The technology developed in the National Library of Technology can extract a document’s table of content (TOC), generate relevant keywords, and suggest terms for various classification schemas (UDC, DDC, LCC, Conspectus). It can fully or substantially automate the process of generating subject access, unite it across libraries, and significantly increase accuracy and relevancy compared to subject assignments by non-specialist catalogers. Such increased quality in subject access terms is often seen in the superior subject facets generated by discovery systems and library OPAC advanced search forms.
