Klusáček, Jiří ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
Classical series production induction motors are usually adequate to most of the industrial application by range of rpm. For application requiring higher speed is traditionally used gearbox which is between motor and driven equipment. Nowadays, where are settings demands on efficiency operations and the most easily maintainance, so aim is to join driven equipment narrow with motors. When operating motors over 3000 rpm there are some proper problems. Generally, there is higher losses due to supply voltage from frequency converters and mechanically strength of rotor. This thesis provides a view on existing solutions of high speed induction machines. In the text there are mentioned options of using laminated rotor and solid rotor. Due to regard to angular speed of rotor there are mentioned the most important equations and knowledge, which are related to a mechanical strength of used materials and dimensions of machines. Later on is there mentioned groundwork, which when we are respecting them, we may improve the efficiency of machine. In this thesis is mentioned design, analyses and manufacturing process of high speed induction motor with solid rotor and copper layer at the surface. After that there are simulation of electromagnetic field through the use of finite element method in program FEMM. In the last chapter there are presented measured data of manufactured high speed motor and they are compared with calculations.
Calculation of parameters of induction motor using FEM
Pešek, Michal ; Skalka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
This project is focused on finite element method, for purposes of asynchronous motor modeling. Program FEMM is used here, which works with two-dimensional models. The model is based on an existing motor. Then was conducted a series of simulations that are used to calculate the parameters of the circuit model. Then was measured the existing asynchronous motor and performed the calculation of the circuit model parameters of the motor. Compared with data obtained from motor and models Then was compared their torque characteristics. Moments was identified at certain slip frequencies and voltage or current in circuit model.
Dynamic simulation of DC motor using FEM
Gottwald, Michal ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
My diploma thesis deals with a specific dynamic model of DC motor with the parameters obtained from the calculation and from the program using the finite element method. It shows how much accurate results can be achieved in the model, if you use only the values which can be measured, recorded and calculated on the engine. This thesis contens three parts. First part describes the structure and function of DC motor and the basic principle and the use of FEM. Next is calculation analytical and numerical parameters. The search parameters include torque, resistance and inductance of armature winding, resistance and inductance of excitation windings. The last part is dedicated to creating a dynamic model. Results from the dynamic model and measured values are compared in the conclusion of my thesis.
Measurement of thermal field in electric machines
Dostálek, Martin ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
Diagnosis temperature is one of the most important disciplines. We meet it in everyday life, but it is very important for all sectors of industry. This is a measurement providing an immediate state of the measured object. Contact measurement of different temperature sensors and contactless measurement using thermal imagers. The important part is the measurement of temperature rise of induction motor. Part of the work deals with losses in the electric motor. These losses are converted into heat, which affects from various parts of the machine. Correct identification of the temperature field is important in helping to design the cooling system of the instrument. Virtually the data obtained are compared with theoretical data. We will capture part of the device and realize thermal simulations in a suitable simulation program. We propose modifying the cooling machine and the resulting data from the simulation compares.
Automotive Electric Motors Analysis and Innovation
Nejedlý, Vladislav ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
In this thesis analysis and inovation of electric machines for cars is discused. There are described principles of basics DC and AC electric machines. In detail this thesis deals with small electric machines used in cars. At least, electro motor for wiper is investigated and possibilities of its inovation in different ways are also mantioned.
Measurement and analysis of single-phase transformer
Princ, Pavel ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of that diploma thesis is low power transformer simulation via its substitutitional circuitry. As Instrument for matematical description of model and simulation of various operating situations with different amplitude and types of load was used Labview software. The software was simultaneously used for real transformer measurement and to compare these results with calculated values. The created program is also applied for measuring excercise for students. In The thesis is described measured transformer in terms of final elements method in FEMM software and there is showed the procedure of its design.

Ševčík, Pavel ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This master's thesis considers by single-phase asynchronous motor. The first part discuss about construction, principle of operation and basic parameters of this motor type. It also discussed the emergence of torque and torque characteristics of the different types of engines. The second part explains the basic ways of obtaining grip moment including outline the principles of functions particulars constructions types, which is produce in practice. In the third part is minutely analyse single-phase asynchronous motor with auxiliary phase and permanently conect capacitor, including method of assign size of a capacitor. Fourth part section provides the principles of the procedure for calculating basic parameters of the single asynchronous motor with auxiliary phase. At the last part is accomplished a calculation of single-phase asynchronous motor with permanently conect capacitor at auxiliary phase including comparation with already manufacturing motor.

My master´s thesis named “Automated measurement of transient phenomena of synchronous generators“ deals with transient phenomena appearing during a three-phase short-circuit on output clips of synchronous generators. Introduction of my master´s thesis named “Theory of transient phenomena of synchronous generators” deals with a theoretic description of transient phenomena appearing during a three-phase short-circuit on output clips of synchronous generators. This part treats the existence of direct and alternating components of short-circuit currents flowing in stator winding during a three-phase short circuit. Afterwards it treats reactances of stator windidng for the duration of a three-phase short-circuit on clips of synchronous generators. Theme of the following part of the master´s thesis is “Technical setting of measuring system for analysis of transient phenomena of synchronous generators”. This part deals with an analysis of technical setting that characterizes measuring sensors. These sensors scan measured electrical magnitudes that describe transient phenomena. Measuring hardware by a firm National Instruments is designed on the basis of technical setting. Following part of the master´s thesis named “Measuring hardware for measuring of transient phenomena of synchronous generators as a platform PXI/SCXI” deals with a description of technical characteristics of designed measuring hardware for measuring transient phenomena. Practical part of the master´s thesis named “Software TransientVIEW for analysis of transient phenomena of synchronous generators” describes in detail a software conception of user interface of software TransientVIEW that is developed in a developing interface LabVIEW 8.6 by the firm National Instruments. Afterwards it treats implemented user functions that allows exact and effective work with analysis of transient phenomena of synchronous generators.
