Klíčová slova: divadlo, herci s mentálním postižením, Outsider Art, dramaterapie, teatroterapie Abstract The bachelor thesis "The Inventura Theatre" deals with a detailed description of a theatre company that is composed of mentally challenged actors and actresses. Šmídová, Klára ; Zemková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Šiška, Jan (referee)
This thesis first introduces the theoretical background of host care, social and legal protection of children, and theories about the identity of the child. The initial chapters will deal with the principles of social and legal protection of children and characterize the available forms of family care. The third chapter is devoted to host care itself; defines it and its purpose in detail describes the so-called "hard-to-place" groups, for whom foster care is especially appropriate. Reference is made to the non-profit organizations that provide foster care and the process of service delivery is described. This research investigates the experiences and opinions of people who grew up in children's home. Analysis of discussions and conversations brought out some unexpected findings. We obtain views on the possible overuse of host care and also gain an understanding of the lives of children living in children's homes.

Research focus: Sexuality and relationship education improves individuals' sexual health through developing sexual competencies. Every individual regardless of their disability have the right to this education. However, access to sexuality and relationship education seems to be insufficient to individuals with intellectual disabilities. This study aimed at exploring the strategies for teaching sexuality and relationship education to persons with intellectual disability in Czech Republic. Research methods: The research approach adopted in this dissertation was a qualitative one based on purposive sampling. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 7 participants from special school and 2 from social services day care centre for adults with ID. The interviews were recorded, transcribed and analysed thematically. Findings: Research findings indicated that sexual and relationship education is provided to individuals with mild intellectual disability in the school while it is reactive rather than proactive at the day care centre for adults with ID. Both the school and the centre seem to believe that individuals with severe Id will not benefit from SRE. The study also revealed that there is need for parents involvement so that messages given to these individuals are constant. Conclusions: The main...

Teachers'Experiences when Encouraging Social Interaction in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Mainstream Schools. A Case Study in the Czech Republic
Di Giuseppe, Kisley ; Šiška, Jan (advisor) ; Šumníková, Pavlína (referee)
The rights of students with AS I) to enter mainstream settings have been strongly advocated. However, past research has shown that inclusion might prove challenging for them, leading to isolation from mainstream peers. This study focuses on how the interviewee-teachers in the Czech Republic operate to provide opportunities for meaningful anil sustainable social inclusion for learners with ASD. What knowledge they share to help these students socialize, and how they respond to challenges. In this study, two different approaches providing skills and techniques to develop genuine social interaction are considered. Firstly, the individually-based approach, where the student is taught how to develop social skills. Secondly, the child-to-child approach which aims to give guidance to classmates. This is a case- study in two urban primary schools in Prague. Five teachers were selected using a convenience sampling strategy within the purposeful sampling. Semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions, participant observations ami field-notes were used to combine multiple sources when collecting data. The research questions evolved as the study progressed. Tlie data verifies that in general interviewee- teachers recognise benefits in social interaction. They see positive advances in both the individual's...
Teacher's Beliefs, Values and Teaching Practices and Culture of Inclusion in Classrooms: a Hermeneutic Pehonomenological Study
Abdul Nasir, Sheikh Jamal ; Stará, Jana (advisor) ; Šiška, Jan (referee)
Implementation of inclusive education involves changes in educational policy and practice through the incorporation of inclusive values in the belief systems of the major partners and leaders in the school settings. A review of the literature indicates that sustainable change and development is more likely when the stakeholders hold such values and incorporate them in their practices to create a culture of inclusion. Inclusive cultures have relevance for everyone in the school and cannot be limited to a specific group of students creating yet another ghetto within the mainstream school and leading to exclusion in the name of inclusion. Despite the importance of the beliefs, values and practices of the teachers in relation to the culture of inclusion, the relation of beliefs to inclusive cultures had not been studied in the Czech Republic. Some studies did investigate teachers' attitudes towards inclusion of children with disabilities in the mainstream schools but none of the studies investigated the beliefs, values and practices in relation to the culture of inclusion. This study was designed to investigate the views of teachers practicing inclusion. The teachers were asked to reflect and describe their beliefs, values and teaching practices that contributed to creating cultures of inclusion in their...
Exploration of the Relationship between Teacher Students' Conceptions of Inclusivity and their Perceptions of Democratic Attributes in the University Community. A Mixed Method Research
Oliveros Martin, Diana ; Stará, Jana (advisor) ; Šiška, Jan (referee)
This mixed method study quantitatively explores the relationship between teacher student's conception of inclusivity (DeLuca 2012; 2013) and their perceptions of democratic attributes experienced in the university community (Knight, 2000; Pearl & Pryor, 2005). In addition to this, two sociological constructs are involved in a qualitative analysis of discourse, namely: awareness of action (Taylor, 2002) and common sense (Fairclough, 2001). Therefore, data was gathered from a cross-sectional survey developed in the Primary Education Program of Charles University where 66 teacher students completed a questionnaire. Concurrently, teacher students were asked to participate in a semi-structured interview. Regarding results, quantitative data points to seven significant relations that maypromote the implementation of inclusive education reform, remarkable are those experiences related to persuasive educational authority, positive expectations and definition of students' rights. On the other hand, qualitative data increase the credibility and validity of the results while completing the understanding of the phenomenon from a non-linear perspective. Although the conclusions of this study do not imply a strong inference or generalization, its findings open new lines of research and give light to possible educative...
