Life Goals - An Intergenerational Comparison

This thesis deals with the subject of life goals. It presents selected life goal theories and possible life goal classifications. Attention is also paid to developmental characteristics of life goals in the context of Theories of life-span development. Another related subject is meaningfulness of life - which is closely related to life goals. It outlines philosophical roots of this concept and some psychological theories. The last subject of the theoretical part is psychological construct of well-being, which is presented by selected theories. Empirical part of this thesis is trying to verify the hypothesis that there is a significant difference between the content of important goals of younger and older adults. It also examines the connexion between intrinsic and extrinsic aspirations and Life satisfaction. In order to attain this aim, we used two methods trough two different questionnaires - Satisfaction with Life Scale and Aspiration Index (AI). Samples were made by assessing answers of 962 Czech adult respondents, and the survey packet was distributed to participants online. Comparison of restorative effects of different outdoor environments

The diploma thesis is based on research findings that the natural environment can help restore depleted emotional and cognitive resources. Theoretical part summarizes the results of research studies in this area and provides a sufficient number of studies which have confirmed the above mentioned phenomenon. In the empirical part I am devoted to ascertaining whether the picture of environment can have restorative effect on cognitive and emotional resources, and compare the effects of three different outdoor environments. The research was conducted by experiment, respondents were exposed to visual stimulus material with motives of natural environment, park or urban environment and then was measured their attention and mood.
Psychological theory of vision

The topic of these master theses is visual shape perception, or more specifically: perception of orthogonal geometrical figures inspired by architectural design. The theoretical base of the project is psychological theory of visual perception - mainly contemporary informational approach - and the concept of figural goodness in psychology, aesthetics and theory of architecture. The practical part of the project is an experimental research on shape preferences of 61 experimentees. The experimental stimuli were thirty pairs of slightly different geometrical figures, the experimentee was to choose "the better shape of the couple".
Behavioral pattern as a suspected risc of the development of specific diseases

V kasuistikách ani prostřednictvím dotazníkových metod jsme nezjistily nijak výraznou a plošně se vyskyttijící přítomnost specifických typů chování či jiných behaviorálních determinant, popisovaných v teoretické části práce. Zkoumaný soubor se vyznačoval výraznou interindividuální specifitou vzhledem k možným intervenujícím behaviorálním proměnným. Společným rysem by teoreticky mohlo být zatljetí profesionálním životem spolu s nízkým výskytem protektivních zájmových činností. Žádné specifické psychické dekompenzace jsme u osob z výběrového souboru globálně nezaznamenali. Častěji se vyskytoval obecný pocit osobní nepohody s individuálním sycením jejích negativních průvodních znaků. Vzhledem k dosavadní absenci jednoznačné odpovědi na otázku vztahu typu chováni a psychosociálních determinant ke zdraví člověka, stejně jako uceleného teoretického přístupu k této problematice jsme zastánci následujícího postupu v psychologické a lékařské praxi: Primární i sekundární péče by se měla soustředit na snížení miry škodlivého vlivu různých aspektů negativní emotivity a chování s ohledem na genetické dispozice jedince. Developing a Czech version of the Resilicence to Trauma Scale - Research Edition

5 Abstract Resilience, stressing out the positive aspects of personality and ways of finding sources of support for the development of the internal forces of an individual despite challenging life circumstances has been receiving more and more attention recently from both professionals and the public. Results of the resilience research are affecting theoretical concepts, however, also the areas of intervention, psychotherapy, counseling and prevention programs as well. The subject of theoretical part of the thesis was the introduction to theoretical concepts of resilience and topics related to it. A special attention has been paid to the resilience to the trauma, as well as the results of research concerning resilience sources, risk and protective factors. The specifics of resilience relating to a given age group were discussed in the theoretical part. The subject of the empirical part was to develop a Czech version of the Resilience to Trauma Scale - Research Edition (RTS-RE) and its explorative analysis in order to create a pilot version, which could become a basis for subsequent wider use in research on resilience. Human behaviour in crisis situation

Presented bachelor thesis pursues Human behaviour in critical situations. The focus is specifically aimed at the prosocial behaviour and the bystander effect. The theoretical part describes historical context of the bystander effect, experiments performed in laboratory conditions and factors causing the bystander effect. The first part of the thesis defines what the term crisis means, its causes, stages a solutions. There is also the term prosocial behaviour pursued. The practical part is based on questionnaire research's evaluation and verification of pre-established hypothesis. The results of questionnaire research are graphically represented by charts.

This Master´s thesis deals with the issue of unemployment as a phenomenon of contemporary society. It highlights the impacts posed by the loss of jobs not only on individuals but also on entire families. It presents the definition of psychological, social and health aspects affecting the quality of life of people without a job. It also defines unemployment, its development, types, importance of work, ways to reduce unemployment, loss of social status. The research is focused on empirical investigation using a form of qualitative research. I am finding a subjective experience of unemployed persons, their opinions, but also their attitude towards the job search. The results of this research is to determine what impact unemployment has on the lives of people. The conclusion suggests possible solutions leading to the impact of an unemployment.

The final work of my bachelor's degree Psychological and social aspects of unemployment is primarily focused on the Benešov region. There are defined the basic terms in the theoretical part, which are used futher in the other parts of the work. The terms are not defined only in the economic point of view but the emphasis is on psychological aspects of loosing the job. Another way of definition is the social point of view and it describes the impact of unemployment on family and friends of the unemployed. The theoretical part is further given to a calculation of unemployment and to the forms of unemployment. Last but not least there are defined the risk groups of people in the theoretical part, who are put in danger the most by loosing and finding new job the most. The main aim of my work is to compare the evolution of total unemployment in the Benešov region with the other regions of the Central Bohemian Region and to characterize the structure of the unemployed in 2015. The last part is focused on processing the questionnaire in the employment office in Benešov.

The thesis deals with problems of unemployment. Particularly, it is focused on psychological and social aspects. The literature review describes unemployment as economical, social and psychological problem. The sample of unemployed respondents is described in the empirical investigation to characterize and describe feeling and determinants of unemployment. Empirical investigation is focused on experience with unemployment, family of unemployed and their behavior and ability to accept this situation a cope with that. In conclusion the empirical investigation, the research into the most frequent negative and positive feelings of the unemployed is discussed.
