The doctoral thesis tries to reflect the collaboration of Catholic priest with the State Security Service (ŠtB). This is done in two steps. The first part illustrates the historical background based on research of archive materials and testimony of living priests - agents. Results of historical research tell us that it is not possible to assess the collaboration across the board just on the registration of agents in secret police register. Core of historical part is a typology of collaboration. It serves as a base for input to the second ethical part of doctoral thesis. The main goal of ethical part is to find objective criterions for answerable and ethical way out from moral dilemmas. Core of this part is theory about ethical compromise with two normative principles - principle of small evil and principle of double effect. The analysis of small evil didn't get a satisfy way out from the situation of blackmail: in the concrete situation it didn't tell us, which evil is smaller and which is bigger. The principle of double effect showed us, that the collaboration in blackmail situation is without proportionate cause, in other words, is counterproductive to their value in universal perspective. Christian Aspects of Palliative Care

In my work I deal with the issue of palliative care, which includes variables such as illness, pain, suffering and dying. The first part is focused on these facts, which the terminally ill meet in several variations over time, they consider the issues that affect the essence of their lives and are confronted with the reality. I tried to enlarge the general view around the patient and of his problems with the Christian view , ie the possibility to browse the desperate hope that exceeds life and death. For Christians this hope means Jesus Christ .For the patient to receive this hope there is the Christian Church. The second part of this work deals with specific help, such as companionship, which is the work of chaplains and other Christians, whether in volunteer work, or experts in any of the religious establishments. In conclusion, I try to approach the issue of euthanasia, which just highlights the need for human and compassionate palliative care.

Above all, it aimed to look into Braito`s spirituality on two levels: on the level of his personal experience, including the experience from the communist prison, and on the level of his works in the spiritual review Na hlubinu. From Dispair to Hope

"From despair to expectation" The quick development of science and technic during the last century brought a variety of new technologic strategies in many fields of human activities. The face transplantation is the last innovation of transplant surgery branch. The aim of this operation is to help seriously mutilated people (e.g. face tumors, injuries) and bring them back to common life. But on the other hand, these new methods entailing many ethic, medical and legal consequences. In this study, I tried to describe the short story of eleven patients who were operated as the first in the world. Be based on their tragic life experience, I tried to vindicate the decision of both patients and specialists to undergo the realization of this serious surgical intervention. "'The Love of God is the Beginning of All True Virtues." The Verification of the Concept of Autonomous Morality in Augustin Zippe's Moral-theological Writing

Resumé Die vorliegende Arbeit setzt sich als Ziel die Überprüfung des Konzeptes der autonomen Moral im Kontext des christlichen Glaubens, wie es von Alfons Auer vorgestellt wurde, auf dem Entwurf der Moraltheologie Augustin Zippes (1746/7-1816), eines der vornehmsten Protagonisten des Josephinismus in der Donaumonarchie. Den Korpus der analysierten Texte bilden zwei moraltheologische Abhandlungen (Anleitung in die Sittenlehre der Vernunft und der Offenbarung, Prag 1778, ev. Wien 1789; Von der moralischen Bildung angehender Geistlichen im Generalseminario in Prag, Prag 1784), sieben Predigten und ein Traktat über die Geschichte der christlichen Nächstenliebe. Überprüft werden die Grundpostulate der autonomen Moral, d.h. ihre Autonomie (welche jeden Eudämonismus und Voluntarismus ausschaltet), weiter den rationalen Zugang zu ihrer Erkenntnis und ihre Unbedingtheit im Sinne der prinzipiellen Freiheit der moralischen Handlung menschlicher Personen. Verifiziert werden die zwei Hauptteile der autonomen christlichen Moral, nämlich das sog. Weltethos und das sog. ENGLISH ANNOTATION The Roman Catholic Church and the Human Rights (Bachelor Theses) In this work questions about human rights and freedom are briefly discussed. Two conceptions of the nature of human rights and freedom are characterized. The first one and older one is based on Jewish Christian tradition of creation of mankind. The second one also called antropocentric has its root in Antic age but its development is closely connected with French revolution and independence of the USA. Historical and contemporary relations of Roman Catholic Church to the idea of human rights and freedom form a main part of this bachelor theses. The contrast between Charter of the Rights of Catholics in the Church and encroach on human rights in the Catholic Church is also discussed. Donations of organs - duty, donation or oportunity?

Martin Uher DAROVÁNÍ ORGÁNŮ - POVINNOST, DAR NEBO ŠANCE? Bakalářská práce Resumé Práce se snaží podat stručný přehled problematiky odběru a transplantace orgánů z medicínského i etického hlediska. V první části, po úvodu a krátkém historickém přehledu, se autor věnuje vymezení pojmů z oblasti transplantologie a toho, jaké druhy transplantace známe. Potom následuje kapitola o mozkové smrti jako smrti jedince. Popisuje postupy, jak k diagnóze mozkové smrti dospět. Důležitost důkazu smrti jedince je založena na zásadě, že není možný odběr orgánu z mrtvého. V následujících dvou kapitolách se práce věnuje jak dárcovi tak i potencionálnímu příjemci orgánů - jaké "podmínky" musí splňovat a jaké orgány může darovat, resp. přijmout. V 6. kapitole autor popisuje vlastní výkon transplantace a 7. kapitolu věnuje velmi aktuálnímu problému - transplantaci od žijícího dárce. Další, 8. kapitola se specifickými problémy týkajícími se transplantací - jako jsou např. dárci s nebijícím srdcem, děti a anencefaličtí novorozenci - uzavírá "medicínskou" část práce. Autor se dále věnuje etickým aspektům transplantace - od diskusních rovin přes etické principy až po problém obchodu s orgány a etické problémy darování orgánů od žijících dárců. Advertisment and the Child's Development - the Negative Influence of Some Media and Advertising on the Development of Children in Respect to the Moral Character

Resumé bakalářské práce "Reklama a vývoj dětí" V mojí bakalářské práci jsem se zaměřil na negativní vliv některých reklam a také médií, zejména pro dospívající. Nejen těch reklam, které jsou takto označeny, ale také článků nebo jevů v televizním vysílání, které podsouvají "tzv. styl života" a mohou jako reklama působit. Svůj prostor dostala i skrytá reklama. Vycházel jsem jednak z vlastní zkušenosti, (jsem otcem tří větších dětí) dále z výzkumů a zkušeností odborníků na dětskou psychologii a psychiatrii a také odborníků v oblastech reklamy a médií. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována sexualitě v médiích pro dospívající a možný vliv pro nahlížení na sexualitu. V textu jsou také uvedeny konkrétní příklady ze života. Jednak z rodinného prostředí, ale také z prostředí výchovných ústavů. V práci jsem se také pokusil uvést možnosti, jak mohou rodiče své děti vést ke správnému nahlížení na reklamu - tedy nositelku informace o výrobku a ve většině případů jako nadsázku. Zmínil jsem jednak střídmost v užívání médií, zejména televize a počítače, zvláště pokud je připojen k síti internet a také alternativní způsoby zábavy.
