Productions of the bearing cover

KOPEČEK Václav: Production of the bearing cover . The bearing cover is product rotational shape used in a single-stage gearbox. It is made from material ČSN 17 247 with 60 000 per year in series. The most optimal option of production, which is proposed based on the literary study, is the technology of conventional draught with blankholder. A tool, punch and die were chosen due to performed technology and structural calculatios. And it was also determined the machine CTC 250 with nominal power 250 kN. It was fixed price 27 CZK for one piece from an economic evaluation.
The use of fluid medium in forming technologies

This publication includes a research of currently used technologies with liquid as a forming or supporting medium. There is a description of methods of Hydroform, ASEA, Wheelon, Flexform, hydro-mechanical forming, Pillow hydroforming and groups of high-pressure, low pressure and pressure sequence hydroforming. The publication also includes analysis of the media used for lubrication of contact surfaces during the process of forming and operating fluids. The publication shows examples of companies which are using this technologies and samples of their products.
Specifics of forming using elastomers

The thesis contains a review of methods using elastomer tool, including the distribution of tools and suitability to the operations. Forming using elastomers is among the unconventional forming methods using flexible tool which is especially suitable for sheet metal forming. The material is used rubber and polyurethane. There are described properties, forming forces and other attractions of elastomers. The principle consists in replacing the fixed part of the tool flexible medium. Forming methods are divided to open tool forming and close tool forming, according to the construction of forming tool. Open tool forming includes bending and roll bending. Among the close tool forming methods is Guerin, Marform, Maslenikov, radial expanding and extrusion. The following are examples of tools and differences compared to conventional methods and liquids. The advantage of elastomeric tool is a low cost, simplicity and frugality to surface modified products. The disadvantage is a low life, low productivity and the use of large forming forces. Forming using elastomers has application in the prototypes and small series production.
Tube Flaring Technology under Dynamic Conditions

This master thesis is divided into three main parts. In first part is more closely described the method of tube flaring. Tube flaring was chosen for analysis of biaxial stress, in this thesis particularly in the presence of high strain rate. In the second part is more closely described influence of high strain rate on the forming process. There is described influence of high strain rate on behavior of the material, hardening, change of quasi-static yield strength to the dynamic yield strength, influence of high strain rate on the microstructure and more. During the description of these processes there is effort to describe the cause of these changes as well. For this task was used domestic and foreign literature, as well as peer review papers whose authors study intensively this problematic. Besides all of the above there is also derived the velocity of elastic and plastic wave. In the end is evaluated experiment, in which was done tube flaring, which is part of this master thesis. Results from the 3D optical system ARAMIS are interpreted with the help of Microsoft Excel, where the chosen results were used as the input to the equations modified for the dynamic loading.
Production of IT case

The master’s thesis deals with proposal of technological process for production of computer case in EMKO Case a.s. Computer case is manufactured from a DX51D + Z275 steel sheet with thickness 1 mm. For manufacturing were chosen technology punching and press-brake bending as the best technologies. Master’s thesis contains literary studies of these chosen technologies. Based on literary studies were made technological calculations, proposal of technological process and choice of machines. For punching was chosen machine TRUMPF TruPunch 2000, for press-brake bending hydraulic machine TRUMPF TrumaBend 50V. For chosen solution is made technical and economical evaluation.
Proposal of suitable technology for manufacture of the part "foot column"

Master's thesis, elaborated within Master's degree, submits a proposal of suitable technology for manufacturing “column foot“ part, which attaches filtration unit to the ground. Material is 6 mm thick sheet steel in accordance with ČSN 41 1375 norm. Run (/production batch) of the part is 4 000 pieces per year. On the basis of literary study about unconventional technologies for flat sheet metal production 3 technologies were suggested: plasma cutting, water jet cutting and laser cutting. These technologies were technologically and economically analyzed. At the end thesis evaluates whether purchase of respective machine would pay out for the firm or they should continue to buy parts from cooperation company.

Making summary of all methods, which make use liquid for manufacturing components. Further are here introduced examples of parts, which are used in practice, method used at their manufacturing and comparing advantages and hadicap in comparasion with conventional methods.
Manufacturing of Component by Fineblanking Technology

This bachelor thesis is focused on the design of production technology of the friction plate for the automatic gearbox DSG. Before selecting the most suitable technology for the production of friction plates the evaluation of different available technologies was carried out, of which as the most appropriate method, the accurate cutting with pressing edge was selected. The friction plate will be manufactured from metal sheet with the thickness of 1.5 mm, steel 12040, which will be supplied in coiled sheets. From the technological calculations followed that the friction plate will be produced in a one manufacturing operation. For serial production the machine HFA 3200 plus with the maximum force of 3200 kN was chosen. The main objective of the bachelor thesis is designing of cutting tools, creation of drawing documentation and technical - economic evaluation.
The Tensile Test of Tubes

The present thesis deals with the tensile test of tube samples and verifies the possibilities of obtaining the corresponding material characteristics. In this work, a total of 3 types of tube samples made according to ČSN EN 10002-1were investigated. For the experiments, longitudinally welded tubes made of 17 240 steel were selected. The used tube was marked as a thin-walled one. Tensile tests were performed on 22 the samples, namely 8 samples on samples having a form of a cut-off of a full cross section tube, 10 samples a strip of segment cross section and a 4 samples transverse cut-out of tube. The goal of thesis was to validate options of acquiring material characteristics, value of deformation hardening exponent ,,n,, and material characteristic ,,C,, of tube samples. Further examination was aimed at designating which shape of sample tubes used for tension test is most suitable. And behaviour of individual samples was examined with tensile load applied. Tension tests were conducted on hydraulic test machine ZD40.
Production of wing rib

The thesis presents a proposal of production of a molded part from the aluminum alloy of group 2024 (dural). Based on the theoretical study and the requirements of the company was designed a cutting tool with a rounded edge for cutting the unfolded shape of the part on the eccentric press LEN 40 C. A new forming tool from textite material for fluid press Quintus QFC was designed. The parts of the cutting tool were designed primarily from normalized (purchased) parts. Manufactured punch and shearing die are made of commonly available tool steels and processed on the attached drawings. The result of the thesis is a recommendation to invest in a specialized workplace for the production of a unfolded shape and reduction of laboriousness adjusting after forming.
