Evaluation od Developmetnal Dyspraxia in Children with Developmental Dysphasia
Morávková, Markéta ; Kraus, Josef (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
Diplomová práce Hodnocení vývojové dyspraxie u dětí s vývojovou dysfázií Abstract This thesis focuses on possible incidence of developmental dyspraxia among children with developmental dysphasia. Theoretical part of the study summarizes information about developmental dyspraxia (sometimes also known as developmental coordination disorder). It also describes developmental dysphasia which is predominantly studied in logopaedics and it is less known in physiotherapy. The link between these disorders is the topic of the last chapter of the theoretical part. The aim of the practical part is to evaluate motor skills of children with developmental dysphasia with usage of diagnostic battery Movement Assessment Battery for Children 2. Both foreign and newly published Czech population norms have been used for analysis of the results. In the research, 89 children with average age of 69 months have been examined. The first group included 41 children with developmental dysphasia. For this first group, the control group of 48 children was also set up. The research proved statistically significant difference between motor skills of children with developmental dysphasia in comparison to the control group. This difference has been proven by both Czech and foreign norms. On the other hand difference between motor skills of...
Motor skills exhibited by three year old children diagnosed with SGA.
Macečková, Silvie ; Zounková, Irena (advisor) ; Smolíková, Libuše (referee)
Bibliographic identification Author's first name and surname: Silvie Macečková, BA. Title of the master thesis: Motor skills exhibited by three year old children diagnosed with SGA. Department: Department of physiotherapy Supervisor: PaedDr. Irena Zounková, Ph.D. The year of presentation: 2018 Abstract This thesis is focused on the issue of children with a history of low birth for gestational age (SGA) in relation to motor problems. Its theoretical part summarizes the specifics of the development of these individuals and defines the problems of terminology and classification. It deals with the risks associated with early postnatal periods and long-term complications with metabolic and neurological impacts. The target of this study was to find out whether motor disorders are more common in children with a history of SGA (IUGR) than those of general population. The test group and the general population group underwent kinesiological examination by aspects and a battery of MABC-2 tests. This hypothesis has not been proven. In addition, the thesis aimed to evaluate the possible link between the motor manifestation at the early age and the age of two and three years. Final data from kinesiological examination, case history data, BSID II test results, and MABC- 2 battery tests were used for this purpose....
The observation of the influence of Vojta's reflex locomotion on the activity of the shoulder girdle's muscles with surface electromyography
Pochylová, Barbora ; Valouchová, Petra (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the influence of Vojta's reflex locomotion on the activity of the shoulder girdle's muscles with surface electromyography. We also observed the activity of some of the trunk's muscles. We tested phasic and support function of the upper extremity in several movements on 15 healthy people. It didn't bring many significant values. It could be caused by different sensitivities of the participants for the stimulation, the short time of the stimulation, individual motoric stereotypes or not so strongly expressed muscle dysbalantion within healthy individuals.
Obstetric brachial plexus palsy in adulthood
Mohylová, Lucie ; Zounková, Irena (advisor) ; Syslová, Jana (referee)
Bachelor thesis: Obstetric brachial plexus palsy in adulthood Author: Lucie Mohylová Supervisor: PaedDr. Irena Zounková. Ph.D. Date: 2018 Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with persisting consequences of the obstetric brachial plexus palsy and their influence on the function of the musculoskeletal system in adulthood. The first part is theoretical and gains information from publications, that have been published about this topic in the last years. Futhermore, it also includes a description of the consequences in adult patients, their exacerbations and treatment options not limited only to physiotherapy. The second part is practical and it is devoted to a case report of an adult patient with obstetric brachial plexus palsy. It includes a patient's anamnesis to the present, a kinesiological analysis and exacerbation of symptoms with increasing age. It also covers influence of an actual functional state and his particular findings by physiotherapy. There were used available anthropometric methods and scales of functional movements. In the therapy there were used for example soft tissue techniques, peripheral joint mobilizations or methods based on developmental kinesiology models. Based on the findings about exacerbation of symptoms and the result of therapy in the case report, it can be stated that the...
Postural locomotar development in children with developmental dysplasia of the hip
Vavrečková, Tereza ; Šafářová, Marcela (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
The aim was to highlight the context of developmental dysplasia therapy with postural hip locomotor development for children aged 4 weeks to 12 months. General examination was carried out in 9 children with disabilities in hip joints, degrees IIa- III. without contractures of adductors. We investigated spontaneous activity, and spontaneous reactivity. We compared the clinical picture of hip joints with the ultrasound image. Investigation of spontaneous activity was done by aspection. The test of spontaneous reactivity was taken using video and photos. Experimental results of our study showed the incidence of pathology in the spontaneous activity of 88.89 % children. Spontaneous reactivity was pathology in all cases, with various tests are discussed in the work. Ultrasound findings correlated with clinical manifestation in 66,67 %, but we cannot say that the proportion of patients will generally be higher than 60 %. Hypotheses were tested using the relative frequency parameter. The results are further discussed and compared with the assumptions by other authors. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Physiological development of posture and movement in pre-school children - vestibular apparatus
Bočínská, Helena ; Zounková, Irena (advisor) ; Syslová, Jana (referee)
This work is aimed at the development of posture and movement in pre-school children. Specific focus is placed on the control of posture and movement of vestibular apparatus. The study is drawn upon thorough research of Czech and English literature; and initially, some information was gained from foreign articles published in electronic magazines. The study concerns pre-school children and its emphasis is hence put on this particular period of human development. In presented findings, particular focus is put on anatomy, embryology, and neurophysiologic aspect of vestibular apparatus. The overview is chronologically structured and goes from prenatal to pre-school stage. The impact of vestibular apparatus on development of movement is reflected in consequent improvement of motoric skills. The work focuses on the impact of vestibular system on the control of posture in pre-school children, and its increasing responsibility for control of posture and movement in relation with visual sensory and somatosensoric system. The case study concerning motorics of healthy children serves as a useful tool in verifying the findings about the impact of vestibular apparatus on the control of posture. Primitive reflexology and its relation to the evolution of locomotion
Pejcharová, Martina ; Zounková, Irena (advisor) ; Smolíková, Libuše (referee)
In the theoretical part, the thesis "Primitive reflexology and its relation to the evolution of locomotion" summarizes the knowledge of movement management and postural control. The main part is focused on individual components which are tested according to developmental kinesiology as spontaneous motor activity, primitive reflexology, postural reactibility. End of the main part addresses the issue of exit examinations. The practical part is focused on find ing connections of the components according to the developmental kinesiology test as a screening method. In the second mentioned part of the study were found significantly important connections between the palmar grasp reflex and the Collis horizontal reaction. Other relationships which we verified weren ́t statistically proven. This concerns the relation of plantar grasp reflex and Collis horizontal reaction, Galant reflex and Landau reaction, suprapubic reflex and traction response and at the end the extension crossed reflex and traction response. Assessment of motor activity in children with autism by inertial sensors - Method of measurement and its utilization in diagnostic
Nývltová, Lucie ; Komárek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
Autism belongs to developmental pervasive disorders. Primary symptoms of autism include failure in communication, social interaction and imagination. Other symptoms are abnormalities in physical activity manifested by delays in motor development, stereotyped movements, postural instability, impaired in imitation and dyspraxia. These symptoms already come up in the first years of life. The first diagnosis of autism used to be made between 2nd and 3rd year of life, however if the diagnosis could be based on physical symptoms, it would be possible to establish the diagnosis earlier. The work presents a method of measurement by inertial sensors that could be used to assess physical activity of autistic children.
