The Eschatological Meaning of Jesus' Resurrection
Dosoudil, Jiří ; Ryšková, Mireia (advisor) ; Heryán, Ladislav (referee) ; Roskovec, Jan (referee)
The Eschatological Meaning of Jesus' Resurrection (PhD dissertation) Jiří Dosoudil Abstract: The dissertation examines the biblical concept of the resurrection of Jesus. In particular biblical texts, it examines its meaning and how it relates to the last things of man, the world and its history. It traces where the resurrection of Jesus is mentioned in the New Testament and subjects the prominent passages to detailed exegetical analysis. To be able to read the biblical discourse on the resurrection in the appropriate cultural-religious context, it also provides an overview beforehand of how it is anchored in Old Testament ideas about human post-mortem existence and the life-giving power of God. Related but distinct ideas of contemporary paganism are also explored. The work points out significant or recurring moments in the texts it interprets. In a final reflection, it assesses their significance, puts them in context, and shows that the concepts of the resurrection of Jesus and the resurrection of all believers are related to the Old Testament hope of redeeming God, working on behalf of man in all circumstances. It especially points to the motif of exercising his power, in which the study finds the basis for the eschatology of Jesus' resurrection. It shows that in the eschatological implications of Jesus'...
The person of the Lamb in the Book of Revelation and its Old Testament prototypes
Rychetský, Pavel ; Ryšková, Mireia (advisor) ; Scarano, Angelo (referee)
The thesis focuses on the representation of Christ as a Lamb in the Book of Revelati- on. The first chapter briefly states into the genre of the book and introduces its author, time and place of creation. The second chapter similarly briefly summarizes the main Old Testament sources, describes how John follows prophet tradition and, in a separate section, deals with Christological titles that have their foreshadow in the Old Testament and among which Christ presented as the Lamb has a prominent place. The following two chapters are the core of the thesis. First, it is an exegesis of the passages in which the Lamb person appears; related verses are also incorporated into the interpretation as needed. The following chapter deals with the individual titles and images that are told about Christ the Lamb in the Book of Revelation, their Old Testament prefigures and the interpretation of these images by the author of the Book of Revelation. Keywords Book of Revelation, Lamb, christological titles, Old Testament allusions, prophet tradi- tion

Christ's Sacrifice: a Paradigm of Life as the True Worship
Sluková, Jana ; Ryšková, Mireia (advisor) ; Matějec, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of the work is to present Christ's sacrifice as an example and model for the Christian life on the basis of the study of biblical texts. The thesis is divided into chapters, the first of which discusses what a sacrifice is, what it is for, what its character may be, and how worship in the Old and New Testaments is related to the offering of sacrifice. The second chapter focuses on Old Testament sacrifices, the development of sacrificial rites, the handling of sacrificial gifts, and explains the meaning of sacrifices offered to God in the Old Testament. The third chapter gives attention to the prefigurations of Christ's sacrifice in the Old Testament, and the fourth deals in detail with Jesus' sacrifice, which begins with his incarnation and culminates in his death on the cross. The fifth chapter looks to the New Testament letters and psalms for concrete ways to follow Jesus in daily life. Christ is the pattern and image after which man was created. He took on human flesh to serve people and to show them in himself what a life focused on the good of others looks like. The Christian is called to follow Christ and has a chance to do so the more deeply he understands the meaning of his sacrifice. This is what the work seeks to contribute to.
The Narratives about Jesus' Healing of the Deaf and Blind in the Synoptic Gospels
Jurkulák, Petr ; Ryšková, Mireia (advisor) ; Brož, Jaroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of healing in the synoptic gospels. Illness and the suffering associated with it is a phenomenon that everyone encounters throughout their lives. We can look at illness and suffering from many different angles, and many scientific disciplines are studying this phenomenon. In my work, attention is focused on the meaning, meaning and perception of the disease from a human and theological point of view. The starting point of the work are excerpts from the synoptic gospels, which deal with the disease and the miraculous healing of the diseases of the human senses. Pericopes are divided according to the types of sensory impairments. Biblical events give us inspiration on how to perceive different life situations in accordance with God's purpose. These are model situations from which we draw lessons and inspiration in our life story. The introduction introduces the concepts of sin, suffering and illness from the perspective of the Old Testament and the New Testament. The next treatise then provides a view of the healing of the sick as a confirmation of the divinity of Jesus and the authenticity of Jesus' teaching. Healing by Jesus' disciples is also mentioned here. The main focus of the work is the exegesis of pericopes, ending with a summary of the main ideas of...
Peter the Apostle in the Gospel of Luke and in the Acts of the Apostles
Hanáková, Kamila ; Brož, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Ryšková, Mireia (referee)
Apoštol Petr v Lukášově evangeliu a ve Skutcích apoštolů Kamila Hanáková Abstract The bachelor's thesis deals with Saint Peter, included by Jesus Christ among his apostles and from the first given a privileged position as the "rock" on which Jesus was building his church. This made Saint Peter one of the most important figures in early Church history. One of the reasons why I chose Saint Peter as a topic is his personality, generally known to be on the energetic and intense side. His thinking, however, is characterised by naiveté, fear, a sense of justice and honest regret. All this makes him relatable in my eyes as his views mirror those of a regular person. Although he did not seem to be particularly religious in the beginning, through his faith he soon became aware of the magnificence of Jesus Christ. I focus on Saint Peter as depicted mostly in the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles as I believe these books illustrate his personality and activities well. Keywords Peter the Apostle, the first disciple, rock, church, Jesus Christ, faith, Goespel of Luke, Acts of the Apostles.
Methodology for the Classification and Evaluation of Industrial Heritage: Water Management
Ryšková, M. ; Dzuráková, M. ; Pavelková, R. ; Vyskočil, Aleš
The methodology deals with water management facilities (dams, small reservoirs, waterways, facilities for the use of water energy, water supply facilities, sewerage and sewage treatment plants), which it assesses from the point of view of monument care. It provides a basic orientation in the topic, an overview of the typology and tools for evaluating water management facilities/objects. The structure of the methodology and the focus on evaluation criteria, which are not yet sufficiently known and accepted in monument care: the typological value, the value of the technological flow and involvement in wider systems are adapted to this. In monument care practice, it should thus contribute to improvements in the documentation, evaluation and objective selection of the most important examples designed for monument protection, which could help to eliminate (or at least mitigate) the protection imbalance of individual types of water management facilities. The methodology is intended primarily for employees of monument care and state administration. It is a tool for orientation in the topic of water management and for their evaluation from the point of view of monument care. It is also recommended as a teaching aid for high schools and universities with a technical focus in the field of water construction and water management.
