Motivation of parents in choosing alternative nursery schools - Maria Montessori

The aim of this bachelor thesis entitled: "Motivation of parents in choosing alternative kindergartens - Maria Montessori" is to describe and analyze in more detail the reform pedagogy of Maria Montessori, the development of preschool Montessori facilities in the Czech Republic and comparison with traditional kindergartens. It also aims to present the specific use of the principles of Montessori pedagogy in the selected facility and outline other alternative pedagogical directions. The empirical part uses the research method of interviewing parents in Montessori kindergarten. The interview is purely anonymous and the aim is to find out for what purpose they put their children in the kindergarten, what they expect from it and if they apply Montessori pedagogy outside it. Work with gifted children at a lower secondary school in Rakovník

The aim of the bachelor's thesis called Work with gifted children at a lower secondary school in Rakovník is to analyse national and school documents related to education of gifted and exceptionally gifted children at a lower secondary school in Rakovník. The analysis of the documents revealed that the school documents correspond to the recommendations of the national documents. At the same time, the partial aim of the work in the theoretical part is to describe and identify the gifted pupil, including recommendations for the selection and description of suitable teaching methods for working with the gifted child. Using a method of qualitative interview, field research among ten teachers in the empirical part found that teachers of the selected primary school can define the concept of a gifted student and believe that they can identify a gifted student. The educators also agreed that they thought that the selected school did not sufficiently support gifted students and that the gifted student did not have the opportunity to develop their abilities, skills and other talents to the maximum in the regular classroom. Multicultural education among children in the first stage of primary school.

Multicultural education in primary school is now increasingly part of formal education, influencing the learning environment and the relationships between the pupils themselves. This master thesis deals with the possibilities and pitfalls of multicultural education, what multiculture is, where it is heading, it also deals with project-based learning, which has great potential in teaching cross-cutting topics that are part of the curriculum, because it allows to look into the issue at hand from the perspective of different educational areas. There is also an insight into its implementation in school teaching, how it is integrated into various subjects in primary school teaching. The practical part is devoted to one of the very topical topics of multicultural education, i.e. integration of pupils with OMJ into the classroom collective. The opinions and attitudes of teachers who encounter this issue, which is very often encountered in multicultural education, and the results of this investigation, where teachers anonymously filled in a questionnaire, which I subsequently evaluated, are also expressed. Compulsory school attendance across education systems in the Kingdom of Belgium

The Diploma thesis will deal with study of education systems in the three communities in the Kingdom of Belgium - the Flemish, the Walloon and the German speaking community. It will focuse in more closely on compulsory school attendance of these education systems. The theoretical part will be devoted of comparative pedagogy, its meaning and methodology. It will explain the concepts of the education system and its comparison and compulsory education attendance. The Kingdom of Belgium and its specific structure will be briefly introduced in the next part. The practical part of this thesis will deal with three education systems in Belgium through qualitative research, namely studies. Analysis and comparison of these less known education systems, its evaluation of functionality using comparison education results in schools of Belgian communities are the aims of this thesis. It will also show advantages and disadvantages of autonomy of the individual school systems and their comparison. Leisure time activities of third and fifth year pupils and their attitude towards alcohol and tabacco

The aim of the thesis is to explore leisure time activities of third and fifth year pupils. The paper consists of theoretical and empirical analysis. The theoretical part focuses on characteristics and psychological features of third and fifth year pupils as well as risky situations that might be connected with alcohol and tabacco additiction. Further, I aim to define key terms, particularly "leisure time" and the way school children spend it. Finally, I discuss alcohol and smoking issues, including possible additcions. The empirical part is based on research in which 120 elementary school respondents were involved. The research was conducted in two elementary schools, in a small town and a city environment.
Education of children in the Terezín ghetto

The work is aimed at the lives of Jewish children and teenagers inside the Terezin ghetto during the years of 1941-1945. It describes the persecution of Jews, Nazi's intentions in the pre-war era and the reasons for the creation of Terezin ghetto. It concentrates on the lives of children in the girl's and boy's houses, which became very honorable due to their educational activities. It also mentions the literary works of these imprisoned children and the cultural activities they were involved in. The tuition programme, goals of education of the children and teenagers in Terezin are presented along with spiritual resistance, which was one of the key factors for development of such rich activities. Problems connected with the educational tendencies are also described. School maturity and the beginning of school attendance from the perspective of parents of primary school pupils in Kladno

The thesis deals with school maturity, stage of psychological evolution in the preschool and the early school age. The solution will view parents of future pupils from three primary schools Kladno on school readiness and the onset of schooling and in this sense, the results of the survey are compared. The theoretical part will solve the view of a child under school age from various angles, his cognitive development, socialization and the other. Furthermore, I will deal with school maturity and readiness, cognitive, somatic and emotional level of development of the child at the onset of schooling. Three elementary schools, where research was conducted, will be presented in detail .The practical part analyzes the survey, carried out on the day of enrollment in the first grade of Primary School in Kladno, C. Bouda 1188 of 2011, which I repeated three years later and expanded research on Elementary School Kladno, Vašatova and Primary School Kladno, Vodárenská. By gaining survey results from three of parents interested in education of future first-graders is created.

Anotation This work deals with the existence of little class schools. I clarify to the readers the history of little class schools, define the concept of little class schools, describe teaching at this school and focus on teachers and students in this type of a school. The theoretical part describes the school as an entity that creates very good conditions for the formation of leisure activities. Furthermore, the practical part describes the little class school in the village Sokoleč, where I work as an aducator at the school care center. I describe the specifics of this school climate, teaching, school activities, etc. Key words Little class school, combined classes, leisure activities, lessons, lesson, teacher.
