Müllerová, Julie ; Hromádková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Průšová, Kateřina (referee)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on mapping and researching the nurses knowledge of taking care of intermediate-term vascular access devices inserted to pediatric patients. The aim of the work was to find out, based on a questionnaire, the level of nurses knowledge of individual types of intermediate-term catheters and nursing procedures related to catheters. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis includes pediatric anatomical specifics, general characteristics of vascular access devices, specifically described types of intermediate-term vascular access devices and nursing care of these catheters. The empirical part presents classified data in the form of overviews of tables and sectional charts, which are then compared with hypotheses based on age, length of practice, type of workplace and specialized competence of the respondent in the field of intensive care. The research methodology consisted in distributing a self-designed structured questionnaire in the form of a didactic test to nurses working in the children's wards of The University Hospital in Motol Faculty Hospital. The examined sample consisted of 76 respondents. Based on the questionnaire survey statistically significant difference was found in three particular items depending on the type of workplace of respondents in favor of...
Specifics of Nursing Care in Paediatric Patient after Hernia Surgery
Dlasková, Kateřina ; Průšová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Nikodemová, Hana (referee)
The presented bachelor's thesis is focused on the specifics of nursing care of a pediatric patient after hernia surgery. In the theoretical part, the concepts such as nursing, the nursing process, and pediatric patient are characterized. Furthermore, the theoretical part contains a review of relevant knowledge concerning hernias, their general description, types of hernias, symptomatology, and therapy in pediatric patients. The empirical part of the thesis aims to compare nursing care standards following hernia surgery in selected university hospitals. A quantitative questionnaire survey using a non-standardized questionnaire was chosen as a research method. The questionnaire survey was conducted at Thomayer University Hospital, Motol University Hospital, and Bulovka University Hospital. A total of 64 questionnaires were analyzed, of which 54 were in electronic form and 10 in printed form. The return rate of these questionnaires was 100 %. The research results showed that individual nursing standards differ by department only minimally, for example in patient monitoring after surgery, or in the length of patinet's hospitalization after hernia surgery. Other differences were also found, especially in educating patients after hernia surgery and in the use of educational aids. At the end of the...
Analysis of nurses' knowledge in newborn resuscitation
Žáková, Jana ; Průšová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Hromádková, Jaroslava (referee)
The present Bachelor thesis ,,The analysis of nurses' knowledge in resuscitation of newborn", focuses on the evaluation of the level of knowledge of nurses working in neonatal wards and delivery rooms. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part of the thesis provides a comprehensive overview of information on the classification of the newborn, conditions requiring resuscitation, postpartum adaptation and the first treatment of the newborn. The theoretical part of the thesis deals in detail with the procedure of neonatal resuscitation and post-resuscitation care according to the latest recommendations of the European and Czech Resuscitation Council. The aim of the empirical part of the thesis is to compare the obtained analysis of the knowledge of nurses of selected specialist departments, namely Thomayer Hospital and Bulovka Hospital. The method for obtaining data was a quantitative research using a questionnaire of own construction, which had 26 closed questions. Of these, 20 were aimed at verifying the knowledge of nurses in neonatal wards and delivery rooms. 120 questionnaires were distributed and the return rate was 81.66%, thus 98 questionnaires were analyzed. The results of the research showed statistically significant difference only according to...
Book as a Jewel, Fancoflemish Books of Hours from the National Library in Prague

PhDr. Kateřina Průšová Book as a Jewel, Francoflemish Books of Hours from the National Library in Prague Abstract The purpose of this dissertation is to present the first comprehensive catalogue of Franco-Flemish books of hours from the collections of the National Library in Prague (hereafter, NK). Some of the included manuscripts were already published in journals some of them have never been published previously. The core of the catalogue is a formal and stylistic analysis of books of hours, including an attribution to the individual masters and workshops, localization and dating based on a comparison of stylistically related manuscripts. This work is a development from previous my research done on Parisian books of hours [NK Břevnov 297, NK Osek 70 and NK XXIII G 89; Master's thesis and 'rigorous work']. Six books of hours come from the National Library in Prague [NK XXIII H 22, NK Břevnov 296, NK XXIII F 198, NK XXIII G88, NK Osek 65, NK VI D 25] and one manuscript in the collection of the Lobkowicz family at Nelahozeves castle, previously deposited in the Prague National Library [with a shelf- mark VI Fg 67]. The catalogue covers the period of the greatest flowering of Flemish book illumination from the first half of the 15th century to the beginning of the 16th century. The books of hours from the...
2nd half of the 15th century Parisian illuminated manuscripts in the Prague collections
Průšová, Kateřina ; Hlaváčková, Jana Hana (advisor) ; Royt, Jan (referee)
In the fifteenth century, the production of books of hours was concentrated in the Îlede- France and Burgundy. This specific item was exported more widely from these regions than anywhere else in Europe. The Collections of the Prague National Library include a dozen of French and Flemish books of hours from this epoch. We selected three of Parisian origin for a particular analysis. Interestingly, the selections cover the entire second half of the fifteenth century, which was the pre-eminently plentiful period of parisian illumination. At the turn of the twentieth century, Paul Durrieu collected a large group of manuscripts that he attributed to Jacques de Besançon, after a colophone in one parisian missal (Bibliothque Mazarine, Ms. 461). Later, when Thuasne published Gauguin's letter to Charles de Gaucourt speaking about "egregius pictor Franciscus", the artist was rebaptised on Maître François. However, this illuminator was not considered to be the creator of this large group for long. As soon as the 1930's, Eleanor P. Spencer started to work on the manuscript collection and illucidated the three successive workshops in Paris of the second half of the 15th century; first, Master of Jean Rolin II, then Maître François and, finally, the Chief Associate of Maître François or Maître de Jacques de Besançon....
Faker - pseudorandom object content C# generator
Průšová, Kateřina ; Ježek, Pavel (advisor) ; Dingle, Adam (referee)
The goal of this thesis was to implement Faker software library capable of filling instances of user defined classes with pseudorandom content and targeting the .NET platform. Requirements the Faker library should fulfill were based on the analysis of existing implementations of similar software libraries for various programming languages. Xoshiro256** PRNG algorithm was chosen to be used as the source of 64-bit long pseudorandom words. Faker uses pseudorandom words produced by xoshiro256** to gene- rate pseudorandom values of all basic data types available in C# programming language. Furthermore, a Source Generator is used to ensure, that the Faker can be easily exten- ded by additional categories of pseudorandom values such as first names, last names or addresses. The Faker allows to set sets of rules describing a required structure of pseudorandom data and it is subsequently capable of generating large amounts of the pseudorandom content with the specified structure. The emphasis was put on making the rule setting API as intuitive as possible and ensuring that the majority of syntactic mistakes made while stating rules is detected at compile time. 1
Molecular genetic analysis of patients with Usher syndrome
Průšová, Kateřina ; Ďuďáková, Ľubica (advisor) ; Kousal, Bohdan (referee)
The work focuses on molecular genetic testing of patients with Usher syndrome to confirm the diagnosis, to determine the causal cause of the disease and describe new mutations causing Usher syndrome in Czech patients. Usher syndrome is a clinically and genetically heterogeneous disease that is the most common cause of hereditary deafblindness. Based on responsible genes and disease onset is classified into three clinical subtypes. Given the fact that there is currently no specific treatment, there is a need to understand the pathophysiology of this disease and to broaden the spectrum of causal mutations. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the anatomy of the eye, especially the structure of the retina. Attention is also paid to retinal diseases, such as the progressive loss of vision characteristic for retinitis pigmentosa (RP). RP may occur either as an isolated disorder or also affecting other organs, so-called syndromic RP. Classic syndromic RP includes Usher's syndrome, which the work mainly deals with. The theoretical part of the thesis describes mainly the mechanism of the disease, the functions of individual Usher proteins and the genes that encode these proteins. The haplotype analysis has been previously done for the most common mutations causing Usher's syndrome in Europe Based...
