Creating a knowledge base for insurance products
Pokorný, David ; Štrof, Jan (referee) ; Jirsík, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is about developing a knowledge base for an expert system. Knowledge base is a set of appropriately coded knowledge from the areas of human activities, which can be expressed with some uncertainty. This created knowledge base is used for qualified selection of appropriate risk life insurance. Base is being create in cooperation with financially – advisory company and will be deployed in regular service where it will help Sales representatives in their regular expert work. Theoretical part of the document describes problematics of creation and tuning of a knowledge base, there is also described a wide range of usage expert system aplications and illustration of NPS expert system and its syntax. Practical part then consists of description of development knowledge base, evaluation of the final results and proposals for another development.
A characterization of sets with positive reach
Fryš, Filip ; Rataj, Jan (advisor) ; Pokorný, Dušan (referee)
The main source of this thesis is the article Sets with positive reach by the German mathematician Prof. Dr. Victor Bangert from 1982. In this paper, Victor Bangert gives a characterization of sets with positive reach as subsets of connected Riemannian manifolds using weakly regular sublevel sets of functions, the class of which he introduces in his earlier article Analytische Eigenschaften konvexer Funtionen auf Riemannschen Mannigfaltigkeiten from 1979. The aim of this thesis is to study the above mentioned article from 1982 from Bangert and to give a detailed proof for the special case of the Riemannian manifold Rn . After the introductory chapter, where we shall get acquainted with Bangert's article and the aim of the thesis, the first chapter follows, in which we will introduce the basic notation and introduce some necessary knowledge and definitions. In the second chapter we shall deal with the sets with positive reach themselves, give some examples and their basic properties. In the third chapter we will take a closer look at the Bangert's class of functions, and in the fourth chapter we will characterize the sets with positive reach in Rn . 1
The representation of economic sectors among the partners of Czech professional sport with a focus on the gambling and alcohol industry
Pokorný, Dominik ; Šíma, Jan (advisor) ; Křivda, Tomáš (referee)
Title: The representation of economic sectors among the partners of Czech professional sport with a focus on the gambling and alcohol industry Objectives: The primary objective of the thesis is to conduct a survey focused on the industrial composition of partners supporting professional sports entities with representation in the highest competitions of Czech sport. Thus, the thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the composition of industries supporting Czech professional sport. The thesis also aims to provide a more detailed look at a group of controversial areas of the economy that are often integral to sports partnerships. Methods: The method of sequential collection of virtual data from primary sources, i.e. official websites of the included sports entities, is used. The whole process is carried out within Microsoft Excel, where all sports entities with their listed partners are recorded, which are always assigned the relevant partnership type and the corresponding defined industry sector. In the same program, the resulting statistics are then prepared and represent the official output of the thesis. Results: The diploma thesis presents an extensive and detailed overview of the structure of industries represented among the partners of sports entities belonging to the sphere of Czech...
Sets with positive reach and their intersections
Komárek, Daniel ; Rataj, Jan (advisor) ; Pokorný, Dušan (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to collect various properties of sets with positive reach and to describe generalization of the directional curvatures in R3 as the intersection of a plane and a set with positive reach. Firstly, we define sets with positive reach, their Tangent and Normal cones, show basic properties accompanied by some characterizations of sets with positive reach. Then, we generalize principal curvatures for sets with positive reach and describe generalization of Euler's identity about normal curvature in R3 . 1
Evolution of dowry
Pokorný, Daniel ; Kuběna, Aleš (advisor) ; Houdek, Petr (referee)
The topic of marriage markets is solved mainly by economics scientists so far (Tertilt 2002, 2005, Botticini and Siow 2003). Much less attention about this issue is paid by biologists. It is still unclear how variant types of marriage transactios influence the shape of societies. However, the importace is not negligible. Uderstanding of these questions may help us at least partly answer to some of the problems current societies face to. keywords: dowry, brideprice, marriage transactions, social structure
Behavioral disturbances according to ICD-10 at pupils of elementary school and special elementary school
Pokorný, Daniel ; Šotolová, Eva (advisor) ; Mlčková, Marie (referee)
The goal of the bachelor thesis is to map the occurrence of behavioural disorders in the base of pupils in special elementary schools and in standard elementary schools, in the same time. The guiding document for this thesis is the International Classification of Diseases, rev. 10 (ICD-10), supplemented within particular diagnoses by specific case history of school practice. There is a brief historical overview of the ICD's development and its current form followed by successively given various diagnoses of behavioural disorders together with a brief description of diagnosis, symptoms and procedures to address or treat these disorders in the thesis. The bachelor's thesis is focused to individual case histories, then. In the context of reported cases, the manifestations or solutions of rate of problems are outlined within school pupils as they occur in common practice of elementary schools. Comparison of theoretical and practical part brings new and interesting information, in this context.
