Social situation in Carpathian Ruthenia in 1920s: development of social services, health and educational institutions

This thesis deals with topic of health care and social support in Carpathian Ruthenia in the 1920s. In addition to describing the development of the area, the work emphasizes the social aspects of the local population, which had a significant influence on their poor health. It also includes a part describing the activities of the non-governmental organizations active in the region, with the biggest attention dedicated to the largest organization, the Czechoslovak Red Cross. The thesis also brings personal impressions of Czechoslovaks working in Carpathian Ruthenia, whether in administration, in hospital facilities or on research trips. The final chapter provides a reflection of authors of another provenience - Ukrainian/Ruthenian, Soviet and Hungarian. Human rights movement in Czechoslovakia and in Ukraine in the end of 1970s

This thesis deals with the topic of the human rights movement in Ukraine and Czechoslovakia after signing the final act of the conference on security and cooperation in Europe in Helsinki 1975. The thesis is an attempt of a comparative analysis of these two human rights movements in the late 1970s, based on two concrete groups: Ukrainian Helsinki Group and Committee for the Defense of the Unjustly Prosecuted. The research focuses on the comparison of the social context for the dissent activity, the historical circumstances and the activities of the human rights groups. The thesis traces the main tendencies and topics in the activities of both groups. Particular attention is paid to the life stories of the actors of human rights movement and efforts to explore some common features in biographies of these personalities. (in English) This bachelor thesis deals with the mapping of the role of Viktor Yushchenko in Ukrainian politics during the presidency of Leonid Kuchma between 1999-2004. Emphasis is put on the beginnings of Yushchenko's political activities, on his rise from the position of the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine to the position of the Prime Minister of Ukraine in 1999-2001 and on the formation of the political bloc Our Ukraine after his dismissal as prime minister. The thesis is based on the analysis and comparison of relevant monographs on selected issues and on electronic resources from. This thesis deals with the reflection of the parliamentary elections in October 2012 in Ukraine and the subsequent political development in the country within the Eastern Partnership Summit held on 28 and 29. 11. 2013 in Vilnius in Czech periodicals, namely the dailies Právo, Lidové noviny, Hospodářské noviny and MF DNES. We emphasize especially the preparatory process of negotiations, which should lead to the signing of the association agreement. The first part describes the brief summarization of the major events that in the Ukraine in the period occurred. The key part is dedicated to the approach of periodicals. The articles we have divided into two at the Chapter informative articles and reports and comments and analytical articles.
