Photosynthetic Apparatus of Green Sulfur Bacteria Studied by Coherent Two-Dimensional Electronic Spectroscopy

The process of photosynthesis begins with a capture of sunlight and its quick conversion into the chemical energy. Both these primary processes take place in a specially designed photosynthetic apparatus that is present in cells of all photosynthetic organisms. In green sulfur bacteria the apparatus consists of a massive light-harvesting antenna (chlorosome), intermediate antennas (baseplate complex and FMO proteins) and of the reaction center, where the conversion into the chemical energy occurs. The energy flow through the apparatus can be monitored by time-resolved spectroscopy techniques. Coherent two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy (2DES) in one of such techniques, which combines high temporal and spectral resolution, and therefore it is especially well suited for studying multichromophoric systems such as photosynthetic apparatus. This thesis describes the principles of the 2DES technique and outlines the basic facts about the photosynthetic apparatus of green sulfur bacterium Chlorobaculum tepidum. Finally, it summarizes the investigation of the photosynthetic machinery using 2DES. Interakce umělé fotosyntetické antény s akceptory elektronů

The use of bacteriochlorophyll aggregates as a sensitizer for dye-sensitized cell has been studied in this work. Bacteriochlorophyll aggregates exhibit unique light-harvesting properties combining high optical density, long-term stability and exciton delocalization. Preparation of the GrÄatzel type photovoltaic cells has been successfully managed during this research. The cells were sensitized by bacteriochlorophyll c both in monomeric and aggregated form, and were characterized by measuring photoinduced current, voltage and other properties. As a part of this work a theoretical model of reversible two-level photovoltaic cell was derived from the thermodynamic principles. Predictions of this model are compared with experimental data and with published results.

Assessing Selected Indicators Using Time Series

Bachelor's thesis analyses selected indicators using time series of the company M Computers s.r.o. Analysis of indicators is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the theory about selected indicators and description of time series. The second part analyses indicators and their expected development in years 2013 and 2014. The work contains proposals for improving the financial situation of the company.

Accounting System

The aim of the work is to design and implement a basic interface of a web information system for the accounting management that corresponds to the Czech legislation. The project contains a brief introduction to the subject of accounting and the terms of proper evidence of receipts and expenditures, which are significant for basic income-tax computing. The results of the work are the requirements analysis, the system design considering the user options and needs and the description of the system implementation process with reference to used technology. In addition, the work includes a description and comparison of four commercial products from the user point of view, which became an initial point for requirements determination.

The subject of diploma relates with a proposal of communication strategy plan of company ModusLink Czech Republic Ltd. who is concerned with providing of supply chains and services which are working on principal of supplier’s relations. The analysis of internal and external environment of the company will lead to new suggested communication strategy. This new communication strategy could be helpful in effective winning of new customers in the market.
