Change in evaluation and satisfaction of partners with the length of romantic relationship

Positive evaluation of romantic partner and romantic relationship is essential for a healthy relationship, which has a significant impact on satisfaction, health, and overall well-being of individual. The aim of this thesis was to investigate the evaluation and satisfaction of romantic partners in different lengths of relationships. A qualitative research design was chosen for the purpose of the thesis. Using the thematic analysis, 16 semi-structured interviews were analysed, 8 with participants in longer relationships (with an average duration of 10,5 years) and 8 with participants in shorter relationships (with an average duration of 12 months). The result of the thematic analysis indicates that respondents from both groups highlighted spending quality time with their partner when evaluating their romantic relationship and described their partner's character traits such as introversion/extraversion, reliability, and sensitivity. Finally, on the topic of conflict, respondents agreed that finances and housework were frequent topics of conflict in their relationship. A significant contribution of the research makes the themes on which respondents from both groups differed, a discrepancy not mentioned in the literature. Individual factors associated with willingness to engage in consensual non-monogamous relationships

1 Abstract Consensual non-monogamy (CNM) refers to relationships in which all partners agree that they can have sexual or romantic relationships with other people. This paper presents the most common forms of CNM (polyamory, swinging or open relationships), the ways in which they are established, the specific benefits and challenges, factors influencing the willingness to establish them, and social perceptions and their impact on these relationships. The aim of the research was to explore selected individual factors related to the willingness to establish CNM relationships. Specifically, we focused on attitudes towards CNM, previous partner experiences and primary family experiences. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 11 participants who were involved in CNM relationships with two or more partners. Thematic analysis revealed that respondents perceived CNM relationships as freer and more natural, but at the same time emphasized responsibility and higher communication demands than in monogamous relationships. The majority of respondents had an experience of monogamy prior to CNM that influenced their current relationships. Perception of family belonging in stepfamilies

Prior research has found that the adolescents' perceptions of family belonging in stepfamilies has a positive influence on their well-being and acts as a protective factor against a wide range of risk behaviour. Despite that there has been only a small amout of research that discovered possible factors influencing the perception of family belonging. This thesis examines the topic of family belonging in stepfamilies. The literature review section defines the concept of stepfamily, describes its specifics, individual family relationships and parenting styles. It also explains the concept of family belonging both generally and specifically in stepfamilies. The aim of the empirical part was to found out which factors influence the perception of family belonging in stepfamilies. Quantitative research consisted of multiple questionnaires. Those were presented in online form to respondents aged 18-25 (n = 115), who reflected and judged their experiences from stepfamilies retrospectively. The collected data were statistically analysed using correlation analysis and subsequent exploration linear regression. Watching Pornography - Behavioral Model

The aim of this thesis is to describe and map the process of pornography viewing from the perspective of the behavioural model. This is mainly with focus on four main areas - motivation for pornography consumption, type of preferred pornography, viewing behaviour and subsequent subjective evaluation of the individual's satisfaction. The literature review section includes an introduction to the key terms of this thesis - such as the concept of pornography itself, its development throughout history, current trends in the field, as well as the behavioral model and its application to the process of pornography viewing. The empirical part focuses on the quantitative research conducted, where an online questionnaire was administered to respondents on the basis of self-selection. The questionnaire designed by the author aims its questions at the way of pornography consumption - from the motivation for viewing pornography through the preferred type of pornographic material to the subjective evaluation of the respondent's satisfaction. Role Play as a way of sexual expression

The presented diploma thesis presents the Roleplay activity as a way of sexual expression. In the theoretical part, there are some basic definitions of concepts such as role, role acceptance and associated activities. It also deals with Roleplay games, which usually do not have sexual content, but for a comprehensive description of this issue, their introduction is necessary. The next chapter deals with some sex games and other forms of sexual expression. Special emphasis is placed on activities involving elements of BDSM and power exchange, because they are often related to Roleplay. An important topic is the principles applied for choosing a scenario and individual roles. The thesis also describes spheres in which Roleplay is widely used. In the conclusion of the theoretical part, there is described the sexual Roleplay and its most important aspects, which are examined in the empirical part. Role of actor, partner, and homogamy in attachment on self-disclosure and relationship satisfaction

Attachment plays a significant role in partner relationships. It can enter into their establishment, maintenance and break-up. Since a partner relationship is usually made up of two individuals, it is important to take into account the type of attachment of both the individual and his or her partner, as well as the mutual similarity of the partners. The aim of this paper is to present the current state of knowledge on the influence of actor-partner attachment and their similarity on self-disclosure and satisfaction in partner relationships. The first chapter introduces the concept of attachment, specifically its types, ontogeny, and role in partner relationships. The second chapter is devoted to assortative matching, particularly partner similarity in selected characteristics with an emphasis on attachment, and the possible effects of the degree of partner similarity on the quality of their relationship. The following chapter presents the relationship between attachment and partner relationship satisfaction. Changes in relationship satisfaction after the child birth

The bachelor thesis deals with changes in relationship satisfaction after the childbirth. The aim of the thesis is to describe how and whether relationship satisfaction changes after the childbirth. The content of the literary overview is the definition of the term relationship satisfaction. Furthermore, the thesis describes factors that affect relationship satisfaction, the stages of development of relationship, the factor of the childbirth as an important life event and changes in relationship satisfaction after his birth will be described, along with the factors that affect these changes. The proposal for a research project presents research that aims to find out how and whether relationship satisfaction changes after the childbirth.
Prevalence of sexual myths among Czechs

Sex myths are exaggerated and not scientifically proven statements that people tend to believe. Often, they are incomplete, unreliable and outdated statements that spread misunderstandings and disinformation. The present work examines to what extent the Czech public agrees with certain statements, out of which a majority is related to sex myths, in a newly created questionnaire. The sample consisted of 503 men and women within the age range of 18-77 years. The aim was to understand how the tendency to agree with the statements of the questionnaire differs in relation to demographic information and what is the link between one's belief in sex myths, satisfaction with one's sex life, frequency of masturbation and the number of casual sex partners. The analysis revealed that men tend to believe the sex myths more than women and religious individuals more than atheists. Furthermore, individuals with a lower education attainment also show a higher degree of belief in sex myths. In addition to that, it was discovered that belief in sex myths is positively related to frequency of masturbation and negatively related to the number of casual sex partners.
