Teaching the History of the Czech Language at Grammat School

The thesis Teaching the History of the Czech Language at Grammar School deals with the current teaching of this theme at grammar schools. The thesis presents the possibilities for the inclusion of this theme within the Framework Educational Programme for Secondary General Education (Grammar Schools) and their realisation in School Educational Programmes of grammar schools of five regions. Using a questionnaire, it investigates teaching practices of Czech language teachers from these regions and the presentation of the theme in textbooks and workbooks they use. In addition, the thesis summarizes the way in which this topic is treated in pedagogical guides, presents relevant electronic sources and gives possibilities for thematic excursions. As a supplement to the thesis, we include a list of schools from the selected regions supplemented with information related to the history of the Czech language contained in their School Educational Programmes.
Training of Pupils' Reading Comprehension and Its Application in Mathematical Lexical Tasks Done Within the Czech Language Lessons in the Primary School

This diploma thesis is supporting material for working with word problems in Czech language and mathematics classes. In the theoretical part one can look at current problems related to word problem solving, methods that can be helpful for more successful pupil's word problem solving, the context of word problems in the Framework Educational Programme for Primary Education, the definition of the concept of word problem and its other phenomena in primary education and factors that influence successful word problem solving. The practical part focuses on methodological recommendations based on the interviews and research conducted. The interviews with teachers and the research investigations carried out in the first educational period are described in detail in this section. In the final part you can find sample preparations for Czech language lessons related to the word problems resulting from both parts of the work. Phrasal Idioms at Primary School

The thesis deals with students of the fourth and fifth grades of primary school. The subject of the research is their knowledge and understanding of selected phraseological units, namely weather lores and proverbs. In the theoretical part of the thesis the most important terms of phraseology as a linguistic discipline are defined. The characteristic of idioms is explained as well as their meaning. Various criteria according to which phraseologisms can be classified are presented. Furthermore, the thesis deals with possible variants and variations of phraseological units. Last but not least, the theoretical part of the thesis offers insight into the influence of the family environment and primary school on the child's knowledge of idioms. The practical part elaborates the research survey, which was carried out using a quantitative research method - a questionnaire. The questionnaire was preceded by an analysis of Czech language textbooks, which focused on the occurrence of idioms and ways of working with them. Acceptability of Common Czech Among Second-Grade Pupils at Two Primary Schools in the Frýdek-Místek District

The topic of the thesis entitled Acceptability of Common Czech among Second-Grade Pupils at Two Primary Schools in the Frýdek-Místek District is the examination of attitudes towards common Czech among second-grade primary school pupils. The aim of the thesis is to find out how pupils of primary schools in the Frýdek-Místek district perceive common Czech in communication situations with a higher communication function, with persons of a higher social status. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part, the current Czech language situation is described, selected forms of the national language (common Czech, standard Czech, traditional territorial dialects) and basic terms (commonly spoken Czech, language attitudes) are explained, and current surveys of attitudes towards the language and language varieties are presented. The practical part brings the results of own research. Escherichia coli jako alimentární patogen a příčina kažení potravin

The main aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to characterize the bacterium Escherichia coli. The thesis focuses on the general characteristics of this bacterium and also the whole genus Escherichia and also the bacterial cell. The bacterium Escherichia coli is described in terms of morphology, biochemical properties, antigenic properties and epidemiology. However, the main focus was its pathogenic properties, which are also related to prevention and treatment. Pathogenic Escherichia coli is divided into extraintestinal and intestinal. In thesis, the different representatives are characterized as well as the diseases they cause. This is related to the topic of alimentary diseases, which is also explained in the thesis. The last issue that is discussed in the thesis is food spoilage and the characteristics of meat products, which are related to the practical part of the thesis. The practical part focuses on the analysis of Escherichia coli, as well as coliforms and CPM in raw meat and sausage samples. In the raw meat samples, the prevalence of all groups of microorganisms was the highest, whereas in the sausages the prevalence was very low and Escherichia coli and coliforms were not present at all. Raw meat is very susceptible to contamination and proliferation of micro-organisms, whereas sausages have been properly cooked, which means that this result was expected.
Anoikonyms in the Týnec Region

The aim of this thesis is to collect, categorise, and analyse current anoikonyms belonging to the cadastral area of Týnec nad Sázavou and Bukovany. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces anoikonyms from the general point of view. Moreover, there is a chapter which describes the researched area. The practical part of the thesis is based on the process of collecting current anoikonyms and their categorisation. The data was collected from maps, literature, and field research. All anoikonyms were ordered alphabetically and described in terms of localisation, type, word formation, and motivation. Subsequently, the anoikonyms were analysed according to Šmilauer's meaning classification, type classification, and method of creation. At the end of the practical part, the anoikonyms are compared with their variants.
Linguistic Analysis of a Pre-Election Campaign

This bachelor thesis is focused on a linguistic analysis of the pre-election campaign during the 2021 parliamentary elections in Czechia. The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate which persuasive techniques were employed in specific pre-election campaigns. The analysis itself is based on the principles used by both commercial and political advertising with the main focus being on persuasive means and negative political advertisement. Such means are used by the elections participants in order to attract the attention of a potential voter and to secure their vote and long-time support. The analysed material was obtained in both printed and electronic form. It is divided by genre into further categories, those being election programmes, pre-election newspapers, letters to the voters, billboards and posters and finally internet platforms and social media. Based on the analysis, we found that among the most used persuasive means were imperatives, exclamatory and appealing sentences. The election participants also frequently employed questions which are used to simulate direct contact with the recipient. Metaphors, similes, epithets, hyperboles and phrasemes were also often used.
