Cutting force calculations for milling
Prášil, Vojtěch ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Klíč, Daniel (advisor)
Milling is nowadays one of the most important machining operations, and therefore it is necessary to deal with the processes involved. The main objective of this work is to compare different methods of calculating cutting forces with the results obtained by direct measurement. The experiment was carried out by direct measurement on a piezoelectric dynamometer where the workpiece was clamped while milling on a CNC milling machine. The first technique designed to determine the cutting forces analytically was their calculation on machining calculators. Two mobile application calculators and one online web application calculator were selected for this purpose. The second technique was to calculate the cutting forces using formulas from the standards. The cutting conditions corresponding to the dynamometer experiment were inserted into all calculations. The comparison shows that for face milling, the calculations from the standards and from the Hoffmann MC calculator achieved acceptable values compared to the measured ones. However, the results calculated for milling the sides differ significantly from those measured.
Application of the Sinumerik ONE control system in machining and measuring
Romanov, Dmitrij ; Potanko, Andrej (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the application of the CNC control system Sinumerik ONE within the programming of machining and measurement. The first part of the thesis contains a research related to the addressed issues of this diploma thesis. The next part involves the design of experimental parts for which NC programs for machining and measurement were to be implemented. The design of the parts is based on the CNC five-axis milling machine SLV EDU. The thesis includes a description of the machine itself and the selection of workpiece material, tools, and cutting conditions. Methods of how the designed parts could be machined are also described. The following section provides an analysis of the developed NC programs for machining and measuring of the given parts, including examples from graphic simulations. Programming in the Sinumerik ONE environment was possible using the Run MyVirtual Machine software, version 1.3.2. The thesis further mentions how measurement results can be evaluated. The last part of the thesis consists of an assessment of its results and recommendations for practical application.

The development of mounting optical sights for a sports self-loading pistol
Čaboun, Petr ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the development of a mounting interface for reddot sights designed for sports semi-automatic pistols. The aim of this thesis was to design a reliable mounting system that would allow precise, secure, and repeatable placement of the reddot sight on the pistol. The first part of the work focuses on existing mounting systems and identifies key requirements for the solution developed in this thesis. A market survey of collimator sights was also conducted in the first part, and suitable models for installation onto the the mounting interface that will be developed were selected. Subsequently, a design of the new mounting interface, including drawing documentation, was created. In final part the developed mounting interface solution is presented. The result of the work is a mounting interface for reddot sights that enables their installation onto semi-automatic sports pistols.
InSpec Software Programming for SOL311 Optical CMM
Kellerová, Michaela ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is devoted to the issue of programming in the InSpec software and the evaluation of the achieved measurement results. The theoretical part is devoted to the current state in the area of coordinate measuring machines and the system area focused on the influences acting on user programming. The practical part is devoted to the design of devices intended for measurement and assessment of the achieved measurement results.
Programming of measurement operations through Zeiss Calypso software
Machara, Marcel ; Šrámek, Jan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of measurement on 3D coordinate measuring machines and the related programming of measurement operations in Calypso software from ZEISS. The first part of the thesis deals with the ISO GPS system. The second part of the thesis deals with coordinate measuring machines and basic principles of programming measuring operations. The practical part of the thesis is focused on creating a program for measuring the test workpiece of HSC milling machines. In this part, the basic technical documentation is developed and the workpiece measurement program is created. After the measurement on the 3D coordinate machine ZEISS ECLIPSE 1000, the measured values are processed and evaluated. Within the selected characteristics of the workpiece, the statistical evaluation of the measured values is shown together with the assessment of conformity with the specification according to the standard ČSN EN ISO 14253-1:2023.
