Architectural study of the sacred building and the Salesian community center in Brno - Líšeň
Chubrikov, Vadim ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the design of a new sacral building in Brno-Líšeň, located among a panel housing estate between the polyclinic building and the Salesian Youth Center. The Salesian community, who will be the primary users of the building, has been anticipating its realization for many years. The main goal is to create spaces that facilitate worship services, celebrations, and social gatherings. The design consists of two separate structures: the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit (with a bell tower and a Sunday school, which forms a smaller mass of the main building), and another building that is a secondary mass connected to the church by a wooden shelter and divided into two parts – a community center and a parish. The bell tower will be the highest element; the church has two above-ground and one underground floors, while the community center will have one above-ground. The project also takes into account the open spaces around the site, aiming to transform them into high-quality public areas. The sacred space should serve as a welcoming place that provides visitors with a sense of safety, tranquility, support, and understanding. It should be a place where people leave feeling better than when they arrived.
Planetary gearbox for the feed drive of CNC machine tools
Vodvárka, Petr ; Marek, Tomáš (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
This master thesis deals with design of planetary gearbox for driving the feeds of CNC machines. The base of the design is a new type of gear (gear ring) with internal and external teeth. The work also includes a systemic approach that corresponds to the proposed structural nodes of the planetary gearbox. Three variants of using a special type of gearing were designed. One of them was selected and developed into its final form. This variant consists of a central gear, 3 satellites, a sun gear with internal and external teeth, an output gear, gearbox housing, and other components. Necessary calculations were performed using the SMath Studio software and 3D models and drawings were created using Autodesk Inventor software.
Milling multifunctional machining center with horizontal spindle axis
Kalivoda, Petr ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis addresses the design concept of a milling multifunctional machining center with a horizontal spindle axis, applying the methodology of the three pillars of the Brno Design School. Based on market analysis, the machining centers are classified according to construction nodes, with a specific focus on the rough construction structure. By applying a systematic approach to finding a suitable milling multifunctional machining center concept, essential system variables that affect and influence the machine are identified and derived. The thesis presents the concepts of four machines, which are evaluated using a multi-criteria method called PATTERN. The criteria derived from the system of essential variables are applied to this evaluation method. From a technical-economic perspective, the most optimal concept is a concrete machine with a box-in-box design. This concept is subjected to basic calculations of cutting forces and performances. The result of the thesis is the optimal design concept of the milling multifunctional machining center with a horizontal spindle axis and the technical calculations of the optimal variant.
Modular milling machining center with a horizontal spindle axis and the possibility of mobility
Přibyla, Dalibor ; Marek, Tomáš (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a medium-sized milling machining center that meets the requirements of modular construction and mobility. These features are essential concerning modern trends in the circular economy and sharing. The current implementation of mobile machines is mainly focused on devices of small sizes and low weights. The concept of a medium-sized machine that could be efficiently transported and operated in a single transport unit, without the need for installing the machine on a fixed base, would offer the possibility of high-performance machining directly in the area of need. The thesis gradually develops the design of such a device. A multicriteria analysis selects the suitable design of the machining center, specifically with a movable stand, and a standardized transport container is chosen as the optimal transport-operational packaging. Solutions for individual construction elements are also proposed. Most of them are selected from commonly available products. However, the machining center itself is specially designed to fit into the transport unit. The foundation consists of the custom design of the stand with the motion system. Modularity is implemented through several series of different construction units of the proposed device. The transport package is designed to meet the criteria of load capacity and rigidity with minimal deflection when loaded with the machining center, which is achieved through rainforcement. Finally, the entire assembly is evaluated in terms of technical and economic evaluation.
Design of an adaptive spindle of a CNC milling machining center
Turek, Lukáš ; Marek, Tomáš (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The work is focused on the issue of adaptive control of bearing bias in spindles on milling machining centers. Using a system approach, a spindle is to be designed that will be able to meet the conditions of milling at high spindle speeds and at the same time it will be possible to operate it during roughing operations.
Adaptive setting of ball screws in milling CNC machining centers
Sedlák, Václav ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the structural design of a mechanism that provides adaptive ball screw mounting for CNC milling machining centres. First, a research of the current state of the art is carried out, then three design variants are proposed based on a system analysis. Next, an optimal variant is selected and two solutions are proposed to cover the widest possible range of needs of CNC machining centers. After the technical calculations, 3D models and accompanying technical documentation were created.
Architectural study of the sacred building and the Salesian community center in Brno - Líšeň
Zinnatshina, Diana ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The task of the diploma thesis is the design of the sacral building of Salesians and community center in Brno – Líšeň. The founder of the Salesian order is the Italian priest John Bosco. The Salesian style stands on three pillars: reason, religion and kindness. It is a style of educational work, based on a preventive system and constant assistance. The Salesian congregation and subsequently the entire complex of the center in the urban district Brno-Líšeň received help from the foundation fund for youth, which he started in 1998 its construction. The proposed facility should cover the remaining needs of visitors and should be accessible to the general public. As a result, an architectural design was created, which includes an object of church with a parish section and a community center. The sacral object consists of a dominant glass cube standing on a one-storey long base and a community centre building with parish housing. At the centre of the composition is a parish garden with a steel bell tower. The whole complex consists of two masses connected by a steel colonnade. The first main mass includes a church with a back yard. The second mass of the complex is the community centre with the main coworking space and the parish priest's accommodation.
Design and optimization of a frame for a machine tool
Weigl, František ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the optimization of the machine tool bed. In the first part of the thesis, individual machine tools and their distribution are briefly described. The following is a description of the influences that affect the static and dynamic properties of the bed, a brief overview of the materials used in the production of machine tools and a short overview of optimization methods. The second part of the work focuses on the creation of a model of the bed, which is used for mathematical optimization using FEM in the ANSYS Workbench. This serves to find the optimal input parameters of the bed, which will improve the static and dynamic properties of the bed. The optimization continues with changing the topology of the bed and using alternative materials. The result of this work is four optimized models, which are compared with the original configuration.
