Práce se věnuje konkurenceschopnosti společnosti International Power Opatovice a. s. na liberalizovaném, celoevropském trhu s elektřinou. Teoretická část vysvětluje pojmy jako je liberalizace a unbundling, úlohu jednotlivých účastníků trhu, obchodované produkty a strukturu trhu. Metodologická část se věnuje v práci použitým nástrojům ekonomické analýzy. Praktická část je ekonomická analýza podniku International Power Opatovice a.s. My thesis focuses on the market competitiveness of International Power Opatovice plc's operations on the liberalised European electricity market. The theoretical part of my thesis explains such terms as liberalisation and unbundling, and defines the roles of various market participants, traded energy products , and the electricity market structure. The methodology part of the thesis is dedicated to the tools used in conducting economic analyses, whereas the practical part comprises an economic analysis of the monitored company International Power Opatovice. plc.
