Svou bakalářskou práci jsem se rozhodla zpracovat na velmi aktuální a diskutované téma námořního pirátství. Obsahem a cílem mé práce je zmapování současné situace a stavu rizikových oblastí a snaha o nalezení řešení, či alespoň návodu ke zmírnění dopadů pirátství na námořní dopravu a podnikání s ní spojené. První část práce obsahuje podrobný popis problému pirátství jako takového, přehled rámcových ujednání mezinárodní námořní dopravy a organizací zabývajících se tímto problémem. Ve druhé části jsem se snažila poukázat na spojitost mezi námořním pirátstvím a námořním terorismem a vyzdvihnout největší úskalí tohoto vztahu. Oba předchozí oddíly poslouží jako podklady pro návrhy řešení otázky pirátství v poslední části této práce. My thesis was written with the aim of the author to describe the actual situation and simultaneously to find out, what for means to utilize in the war with the maritime pirates and seaborne terrorism. Another part contains also some advices, what should the captains of the ships and the shipping companies conform as a preventive proceedings. This paper is targeted on the area of the Strait of Aden, the Horn of Africa and the coast of Somalia. The Malacca Strait is a secondary area, which is mentioned here to complete the information about maritime piracy.
