Telekomunikace jsou dynamicky se rozvíjejícím a důležitým odvětvím národního hospodářství, v privatizačním procesu se jednalo o segment, o který byl ze strany zahraničních investorů velký zájem. Cílem práce bude analyzovat průběh privatizačního procesu ČESKÝ TELECOM, a.s., zejména pak konečný způsob prodeje majoritního podílu akcií a výslednou cenu. Teoretická část práce se bude zabývat transformací českého národního hospodářství z centrálně plánovaného na tržní, se zřetelem na transformaci sektoru telekomunikací. V praktické části bude analyzován proces privatizace společnosti SPT Telecom, s.p., následně ČESKÝ TELECOM, a.s., jakožto operátora pevných sítí hlavního subjektu tehdejšího telekomunikačního trhu. Analýza bude zahrnovat období od založení společnosti až po prodej akcií novému majoritnímu vlastníkovi a ukončení privatizace. Telecommunications is rapidly growing and important sector of economy. This segment attracted attention of many foreign investors during privatization process. The aim of this thesis is to analyze privatization process of ČESKÝ TELECOM, a.s., especially selling of majority stake and the final bid. Theoretical part of this thesis focuses on transformation from centrally planned economy to market economy with respect to transformation of telecommunications sector. Analytical part focuses on privatization of SPT Telecom, s.p., later ČESKÝ TELECOM, a.s., as a leading landline operator of Czech telecommunications market. The analysis will cover the period from foundation of the company to sale of share and end of privatization process.
