Abstract: Real-time cell analyzer dual-plate (RTCA DP) can be used to dynamically test the cytotoxic activity of potent antimicrobial peptides. In this study, we tested the activity of two different antimicrobial peptides isolated from venom reservoirs of a wild bee against normal mammalian cell line – rat intestinal epithelial cells. The cytotoxic effect monitored by RTCA DP was expressed as IC50 and compared with the results of standard cytotoxic tests.
