Skupina G8 dnes zcela nepochybně zaujímá významné místo na poli světové ekonomiky. Cílem této práce je stručně shrnout historii skupiny G8 a podrobněji popsat některé vybrané oblasti jejího působení. V první části práce autorka stručně shrnuje vznik a dosavadní vývoj skupiny samotné. V další kapitole pak následuje popis nejdůležitějších aspektů světové ekonomiky, na které se skupina snaží působit. Jmenovitě se jedná o otázky zadlužení rozvojových zemí, snižování chudoby, jaderné energetiky, mezinárodní bezpečnosti a terorismu. The position of Group of Eight is today very important from the world ecomomic view. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the impact of the evolution of this group and to describe some selected influential areas more detailed. The author of the thesis sums up the origin of the group including the present influence on the world in the first part of the thesis. The next chapter contains descriptions of some of the most important aspects of the world economy. In particular, these are topics which involve the debt relief of developing countries, poverty reduction, nuclear safety, international security and terrorism.
