This Master's thesis is focused on application of equal opportunities for women and men in firms in the Czech Republic. The purpose is to define the concept of corporate social responsibility as well as equal opportunities. The thesis also introduces the Czech legislation that deals with discrimination and the advantages for companies of complying with equal opportunities for men and women. It is concluded with a research of application of equal opportunities in firms in the Czech Republic and it summarizes the results and introduces recommendations. Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na prozkoumání uplatňování principů rovných příležitostí pro ženy a muže ve firmách v České republice. První část práce je věnována konceptu společenské odpovědnosti, protože rovné příležitosti jsou jeho součástí. Dále se práce věnuje rovným příležitostem, vysvětluje, proč je důležité tyto principy dodržovat a jaké přínosy jejich uplatňování přináší firmám. Práce rovněž uvádí přehled české legislativy, popisuje hlavní oblasti rovných příležitostí a dobré praxe firem. Praktická část práce obsahuje přípravu a realizaci dotazníkového šetření, shrnuje výsledky realizovaného průzkumu a uvádí doporučení pro další podporu této oblasti společenské odpovědnosti.
