Práce charakterizuje současný stav ekonomik latinskoamerických zemí a postavení celého regionu ve světové ekonomice. První kapitola je zaměřena na stručný geografický a demografický popis regionu a na vývoj latinskoamerického hospodářství. Druhá kapitola se zabývá hlavními integračními seskupeními Latinské Ameriky,jejich vývojem a vnějšími vztahy. Ve třetí kapitole je popsán zahraniční obchod a přímé zahraniční investice regionu. The thesis describes the current state of the economies of Latin American countries and the region's position in the world economy. The first chapter focuses on a brief geographic and demographic description of the region and the development of Latin American economy. The second chapter deals with the major regional integration groupings, their development and external relations. The third chapter describes the foreign trade and foreign direct investment of the region.
