Ve své práci se budu zabývat především dopadem studené války na ekonomiku a hospodářskou politiku Spojených států amerických. Chronologicky se bude jednat o období konce 40. a začátek 50. let. Tedy pouze o období vzniku studené války. V první části práce vymezím studenou válku a roli USA v jejím počátku. V dalších částech pak analyzuji změny v zahraniční a hospodářské politice, které byly přímou reakcí na novou mezinárodní situaci. Také představím domácí souvislosti a jejich vliv na hospodářskou politiku. Poté budu analyzovat, jaký měla studená válka dopad na zahraniční obchod USA v prvních letech této války. Práce bude ukončena rozpoutáním korejské války. V závěru se zaměřuji na ekonomický význam stability bipolárního systému mezinárodních vztahů pro ekonomiku USA. In this thesis, I will work with the impact of cold war on US economy and economic policy. Chronologically, the aim of this work will be targeted on the end of 40's and the beginning of 50's. That means on the creation times of cold war. At first, I will characterize cold war and the role of United States in its beginning. Then I analyze changes in foreign and economic policies, which were reaction on new international situation. I will also show domestic political situation, that shaped economic policy. In the next chapter of my work the impact of first years of cold war on US trade will be analyzed. The beginning of Korean War will be the end of my work. In the conclusion, I show the importance of the stability of bipolar international system for US economy.
