Práce nejprve charakterizuje a popisuje samotný pojem "veřejný dluh". Dále se zaměřuje na příčiny jeho vzniku, zdroje financování schodků státních rozpočtů a teoretické možnosti jejich eliminace. Praktická část poukazuje na vývoj veřejného zadlužení České republiky a na jeho rozdílné vnímání pravicově a levicově smýšlejícím politickým spektrem. Další část práce je věnována problémům, které jsou spojeny se současnou restriktivní politikou, a postojům veřejnosti k politice, která se snaží bránit dalšímu navyšování veřejného zadlužení. This work first defines and describes the term "public debt" itself. Further the work focuses on the reasons of its emergence, the sources of financing the state budget deficit and theoretical possibilities of its elimination. The practical part of the work discusses the development of the public debt of the Czech Republic and the different views of the right and left wing political parties on it. The next part of the work explores the problems connected with the contemporary restrictive policy and the attitudes of the public to the policy which is trying to stop further raising of the public debt. Meine Arbeit charakterisiert und beschreibt zuerst nur den Begriff "Die Staatsverschuldung". Weiter behandelt sie die Ursachen ihrer Entstehung, die Quellen der Finanzierung des Staatsdefizits und die theoretischen Möglichkeiten ihrer Elimination. Der praktische Teil weist auf die Entwicklung der Staatsverschuldung in der Tschechischen Republik und weiter auch auf die unterschiedliche Wahrnehmung der rechts und links orientierten politischen Parteien hin. Den nächsten Teil meiner Arbeit widme ich den Problemen, die mit der gegenwärtigen restriktiven Politik zusammen geknüpft sind, und weiter den öffentlichen Einstellungen zur Politik, die sich bemüht, dass sich die nächste Staatsverschuldung nicht mehr erhöht.
