Tématem této bakalářské práce je Evropská diplomatická služba, která je oficiálně nazývána jako Evropská služba pro vnější činnost. Jedná se o nově vzniklou funkčně nezávislou instituci EU, jejímž úkolem je poskytnutí podpory především vysokému představiteli Unie pro zahraniční věci a bezpečnostní politiku a tím zajistit maximální efektivnost zahraniční politiky EU. Cílem této práce je vymezit základní principy organizace a způsob fungování Evropské diplomatické služby. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První se zabývá diplomacií všeobecně (vznik, charakteristika, cíle, základní vymezení pojmů). Druhá se zaměřuje na diplomatickou činnost členských států EU a třetí kapitola uvádí základní informace o zahraniční činnosti EU. Čtvrtá kapitola o Evropské diplomatické službě představuje stěžejní část této bakalářské práce. The topic of this bachelor thesis is the European Diplomatic Service, officially called as the European External Action Service (EEAS). The EEAS is a functionally autonomous body of the European Union. It is placed under the authority of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and shall support him in fulfilling his mandate. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to define the main principles of organisation and operating of the EEAS. The thesis is divided into four chapters - Diplomacy (formation, characteristics,goals, basic definition of terms), external activities of the EU members, external action of the EU, EEAS.
