Automobilový průmysl ve své historii prošel mnohými změnami. Mezi ty nejvvýznamnější v posledních letech patří přesun produkce do rozvojových zemí, což je spolu se současnou situací na poli automobilového průmyslu a dalšími tendencemi popsáno v první kapitole této bakalářské práce. Ve vyspělých ekonomikách, mezi které patří i ve druhé kapitole zkoumaná Francie, roste produkce pomaleji či přímo klesá. Francouzská ekonomika se navíc potýká s problémem, že domácí automobilky vyrábějí stále menší část produkce na francouzském území. Touto problematikou se prostřednictvím analýzy produkce společnosti PSA Peugeot Citroën zabývá třetí kapitola práce. Autor dochází k závěru, že kromě přesunu produkce v souladu s globálními změnami si automobilka zajišťuje konkurenceschopnost alokací výroby na blízké evropské trhy. The automotive industry has changed a lot in its history. Among the most important changes of the past few years is the shift in production toward developing countries, which is together with the current situation and trends in automotive industry the subject of the first chapter of this bachelor thesis. On the other hand, in developed countries the automotive-production-growth rate is slower or even negative. That is also the case of France, which is closer looked at in the second chapter. In addition, French economy faces a problem that home car manufacturers produce smaller and smaller share of their production in France. This issue is dealt with via analysis of the production of PSA Peugeot Citroën in the third chapter of the thesis. The author comes to a conclusion that except the shift in production in conformity with global changes the French car manufacturer tries to remain competitive by allocating its production to near European markets.
