Cílem metodiky je vytvoření aktualizovaného nástroje pro hodnocení ekologického potenciálu silně ovlivněných a umělých vodních útvarů tekoucích vod prostřednictvím společenstva juvenilních ryb jako jedné z biologických složek hodnocení v souladu s požadavky Rámcové směrnice o vodách (2000/60/ES). Tato metodika pro hodnocení ekologického potenciálu silně ovlivněných vodních útvarů dlouhodobvě chyběla, resp. nahrazuje postup, který byl alternativou k již neplatné metodice hodnocení ekologického stavu. The aim of the methodology is to develop an updated tool for assessing the ecological potencial of artificial and heavily modified water bodie (HMWB) - category river - through the juvenile fish community as one of the biological components of the assessment in accordance with the requirements of the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/ES). This methodology for the assessment of HMWB has long been lacking, given that the defunct methodology for assessment of ecological potential needed to be replaced.
