Tématem tohoto příspěvku je jazyková krajina pražského Malostranského náměstí. Analýza je založena na fotografiích všech nápisů v této lokalitě, které byly pořízeny (autorkou) na mobilní telefon. Získané nápisy byly následně roztříděny podle následujících výzkumných otázek: 1. Jaké jazyky se v jazykové krajině vyskytují? 2. Jak se zde projevuje vícejazyčnost? Bylo zjištěno, že z celkového počtu 90 nápisů je jich 17 vícejazyčných – dvojjazyčných nebo trojjazyčných. Jednalo se o následující kombinace jazyků: čeština – angličtina, čeština – maďarština, čeština – francouzština, čeština – latina, angličtina – latina, italština – angličtina, čeština – němčina, angličtina – čeština – ruština, čeština – angličtina – staronorština. Jednojazyčné nápisy byly zaznamenány v češtině (43 nápisů), angličtině (18), albánštině (4), němčině (3), francouzštině (3), latině (1) a nizozemštině (1). Celkem se v této jazykové krajině vyskytovaly nápisy v 11 různých jazycích. The topic of this article is the linguistic landscape of Prague Malostranské náměstí. The analysis is based on photographs of all the signs (in scriptions) in this locality, which were taken (by the author) on a mobile phone. The obtained signs were then sorted according to the following research ques tions: 1. What languages are present in the linguistic landscape? 2. How is mul tilingualism manifested here? It was found that out of a total of 90 signs, 17 signs were multilingual – bilingual or trilingual. These were the following combina tions of languages: Czech – English, Czech – Hungarian, Czech – French, Czech – Latin, English – Latin, Italian – English, Czech – German, English – Czech – Russian, Czech – English – Old Norse. Monolingual inscriptions were recorded in Czech (43 signs), English (18), Albanian (4), German (3), French (3), Latin (1), and Dutch (1). In total, there were 11 different languages in this linguistic landscape.
