This study empirically investigates the impact of technology subsidies on the academic performance of fourth-grade students in Slovakia. Propensity Score Matching-Difference-in-Differences (PSM-DiD) and Synthetic Control Method (SCM) methodologies are employed. Drawing on data from the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS), the re- search examines a pooled panel of 59,775 observations across multiple years, focusing on results on standardized mathematics tests as a proxy for aca- demic success. Based on SCM, the Czech Republic was identified as the con- trol group contributing the largest weight, reflecting its socioeconomic and educational comparability to Slovakia. The findings highlight a modest but measurable effect of technological interventions on standardized test scores. Key factors such as gender, preschool attendance, absenteeism, and bullying are analysed to assess their influence on academic performance. While tech- nology subsidies demonstrate the potential to improve educational outcomes, their effectiveness is highly dependent on factors such as teacher readiness and ensuring widespread access to technological tools. Tato studie empiricky zkoumá vliv technologických dotací na studijní výsledky žáků čtvrtých tříd na Slovensku. Jsou použity metodiky Propen- sity Score Matching-Difference-in-Differences (PSM-DiD) a Synthetic Con- trol Method (SCM). Na základě údajů z Trends in International Mathe- matics and Science Study (TIMSS) výzkum zkoumá sdružený panel 59 775 pozorování z několika let a zaměřuje se na výsledky ve standardizovaných testech z matematiky jako ukazatele studijních úspěchů. Na základě SCM byla Česká republika určena jako kontrolní skupina s největším příspěvkem, což odráží její socioekonomickou a vzdělanostní srovnatelnost se Slovenskem. Zjištění poukazují na mírný, ale měřitelný vliv technologických intervencí na výsledky ve standardizovaných testech. Klíčové faktory, jako je pohlaví, předškolní docházka, absence a šikana, jsou analyzovány za účelem posouzení jejich vlivu na studijní výsledky.
