According to recent studies, the growing consumption of internet pornography mainly in male population becomes an increasing problem, which is closely linked to compulsive sexual behavior. Some findings also suggest that internet pornography consumption might represent a defense mechanism against excessive stress, which enables to cope with stressful events, helps in mood regulation, and decreases depression and anxiety. Users of online pornography involved in these activities also reported that their self-exposition to pornographic material may create guilty feelings and internal conflict in themselves with respect to their own "involuntary" sexual behavior, which suggest that psychosocial stress and possibly traumatic experiences may play a significant role in internet pornography addiction. Taken together, these findings show that stressful experiences, anxiety, and depression are strongly related to pornography consumption. In addition, conflicting emotional experiences as well as identity problems significantly increase vulnerability to addictive sexual behavior and pornography consumption. Reported empirical findings of the present study indicate that increased pornography consumption is frequently linked to past and recent stressful experiences, anxiety, depressive symptoms, alexithymia and... Podle stávajících poznatků rostoucí užívání pornografie na internetu především u mužské populace významnou měrou narůstá a je velmi často spojeno s kompulzivním sexuálním chováním. Některé poznatky také ukazují na to, že zejména excesivní konzumace pornografie může představovat obranný mechanismus používaný ve vztahu ke stresujícím situacím a prožitkům, napomáhá v regulaci nálady a snižuje depresi a úzkost. Mimo jiné také uživatelé pornografie podle výzkumných studiích uvádějí, že expozice pornografického materiálu může vzbuzovat vnitřní konflikt a pocity viny vztažené k mimovolnímu sexuálnímu chování, které poukazují na to, že v závislosti na pornografii mohou hrát významnou stresující nebo traumatické zážitky. V celku tyto poznatky ukazují na to, že stresující zážitky, úzkost a deprese mají velmi významný vztah ke konzumaci pornografie. Navíc ve vzniku a udržování závislosti mohou hrát významnou úlohu také problémy s vlastní "identitou" jedince. Vlastní empirické výsledky publikované v této práci také ukazují na to, že zvýšená konzumace pornografie má významný vztah k současným a minulým stresujícím událostem, úzkosti, depresivním prožitkům a také k symptomům alexithymie a disociace. Tyto nové poznatky získané v této studii jsou také v souladu s dosavadními poznatky o tom, že častá konzumace...
