Vztah Republikánské strany k navrhovanému Dodatku o rovnoprávnosti a vliv dezinformací na jeho neschválení Aneta Ryšavá Abstrakt Práce s názvem "Vztah Republikánské strany k navrhovanému Dodatku o rovnoprávnosti a vliv dezinformací na jeho neschválení" se zabývá Dodatkem o rovnoprávnosti a opozicí, která se proti němu zformovala. Práce se snaží odpovědět na otázku, zda se argumenty vůči dodatku dají označit za dezinformace. První kapitola se zabývá definicí pojmu "dezinformace". Druhá kapitola představuje Dodatek o rovnoprávnosti a krátce popisuje jeho historii. Třetí kapitola čtenáře seznámí s Phyllis Schlafly a jejím hnutím STOP ERA, které se proti dodatku postavilo. Čtvrtá prezentuje časté argumenty opozice vůči dodatku a hodnotí, zda je lze označit za dezinformaci. Pátá kapitola dokumentuje vývoj názoru Republikánské strany na Dodatek o rovnoprávnosti. Práce se snaží odpovědět na otázku, proč Republikánská strana přestala dodatek podporovat a jakou roli v tomto rozhodnutí hrály dezinformace, které se o dodatku šířily. Po analýze vývoje názorů strany na dodatek docházím k závěru, že Republikánská strana si ze souboje s dodatkem odnesla lekci o možnosti spojení s náboženskými skupinami. To vedlo k tomu, že Republikánská strana nahradila Demokratickou stranu na americkém Jihu a získala si její obvyklé voliče. The Relationship of the Grand Old Party to the Equal Rights Amendment and the Infuence of Disinformation on Its Failed Ratification Aneta Ryšavá Abstract This bachelor thesis, titled "The Relationship of the Grand Old Party to the Equal Rights Amendment and the Influence of Disinformation on Its Failed Ratification," deals with the Equal Rights Amendment and opposition against the amendment. The thesis aims to answer the question of whether arguments against the opposition can be called disinformation. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter explores the definition of "disinformation." The second chapter introduces the Equal Rights Amendment and outlines its history. The third chapter focuses on Phyllis Schlafly and the opposition she formed against the amendment. The fourth chapter is the longest, examining the most common arguments against the amendment and assessing whether they can be classified as disinformation. The fifth and final chapter discusses the Republican Party and its changing opinion on the amendment. The aim of the thesis is to determine whether the arguments against the amendment can be considered disinformation and how they influenced the Republican Party's opinion on the amendment.
