V této práci se zabýváme základními vlastnostmi Lp prostorů, kde p ∈ [1, ∞]. První část je věnována stejnoměrné konvexitě, kde zavedeme relevantní pojmy a ukážeme, které z Lp prostorů jsou stejnoměrně konvexní. Navíc uvedeme stejnoměrnou konvexitu do sou- vislosti s reflexivitou. Druhá část je věnována dualitě Lq = (Lp)∗ , kde uvedeme důkazy prokazující platnost duality, které nepoužívají Radon-Nikodýmovu větu, a obvyklé před- poklady co nejvíce zeslabíme, aby platnost duality byla zachována. 1 In this thesis we deal with the basic properties of Lp spaces, where p ∈ [1, ∞]. The first part is dedicated to uniform convexity, where we introduce relevant concepts and show, which of the Lp spaces are uniformly convex. In addition, we show a relation between uniform convexity and reflexivity. The second part is dedicated to the duality Lq = (Lp)∗ , where we present proofs demonstrating the validity of duality that do not use the Radon-Nikodým theorem, and we weaken the usual assumptions as much as possible for the duality to still hold. 1
