Cílem bylo navrhnout výrobu dusítka trombonu. Je to komplikovaná rotační součást s konstantní tloušťkou stěny 0,5 mm. Nejvhodnější technologií pro zhotovení 500 kusů z hliníkové slitiny EN AW – 3103 bylo zvoleno kovotlačení. Pro něj byla zhodnocena technologičnost, navrženy rozměry polotovaru, tvary a materiál nástrojů pro dvě operace, a nakonec výrobní postup. The goal was to design the production of a trombone mute. It is a complex rotational part with a constant wall thickness of 0.5 mm. Metal spinning was chosen as the most suitable technology for manufacturing 500 pieces from the aluminum alloy EN AW – 3103. The manufacturability was evaluated, the dimensions of the blank, the shapes and material of the tools for two operations were designed, and finally, the production process was developed.
