Zadáním diplomové práce je návrh soudobé udržitelné městské struktury pro město 21. století. Návrh má za cíl propojit městské části Břeclav a Poštorná. Práce analyzuje obě stávající čtvrti a na základě analýz navazuje na velmi rozdílné typy zástavby. V rámci udržitelnosti návrh využívá stávající zástavbu, která se na území nachází a propojuje ji do kompaktní městské čtvrti. Návrh také zachovává maximum stávající zeleně a využívá ji jako prostorotvorný prvek při tvorbě profilů ulic a různých drobných zákoutí. Hlavním prvkem návrhu je městský blok o 3 – 5 podlažích, který je výškově i hustotou jeho zástavby upravován tak, aby čtvrť nevytvářela nesourodou dominantu, ale naopak zapadla do stávající podoby města.

The assignment of this master's thesis is to design a contemporary sustainable urban structure for the 21st century city. The design aims to connect the urban districts of Břeclav and Poštorná. The thesis analyses the two existing districts and based on the analyses it relates to very different types of development. Within the framework of sustainability ;
the proposal uses the existing buildings located in the area and connects them into a compact urban district. The proposal also preserves as much of the existing green space as possible and uses it as a space-creating element in the creation of street profiles and various small corners. The main element of the proposal is the urban block of 3-5 storeys ;
which is adjusted in height and density so that the district does not create a disparate dominant feature ;
