Keywords: but instead fits into the existing urban form.; The assignment of this master's thesis is to design a contemporary sustainable urban structure for the 21st century city. The design aims to connect the urban districts of Břeclav and Poštorná. The thesis analyses the two existing districts and based on the analyses it relates to very different types of development. Within the framework of sustainability; the proposal uses the existing buildings located in the area and connects them into a compact urban district. The proposal also preserves as much of the existing green space as possible and uses it as a space-creating element in the creation of street profiles and various small corners.
