Onemocnění diabetes mellitus dosahuje celosvětově alarmující úrovně a jeho prevalence každý rok prudce stoupá. Česká republika má přes milion pacientů s tímto onemocnění. Jedná se o velký celospolečenský problém, kdy náklady na léčbu diabetu, především na léčbu komplikací, závratně rostou a zatěžují ekonomiku. Proto musíme hledat východiska, jak motivovat pacienty k redukci váhy, díky které může dojít i k remisi onemocnění, lepším kompenzacím a snížení rozvoje komplikací u jednotlivých pacientů. Lidé často ví o zdravé stravě i nutnosti fyzické aktivity, přesto často zápolí s redukcí své váhy. Cílem této práce bylo zjistit, jak můžeme pacienty s diabetes mellitus 2. typu motivovat ke zhubnutí. Vzhledem k rozvoji motivačních rozhovorů při práci se změnou chování u pacientů s diabetes mellitus 2. typu, byla stanovena hypotéza: Vhodným individualizovaným motivačním rozhovorem lze pozitivně ovlivnit motivaci k redukci hmotnosti u pacientů s diabetes mellitus 2. typu. Pro naplnění cíle této práce byl zvolen kvantitativní i kvalitativní výzkum tak, aby se co nejvíce využily silné stránky obou metodologických přístupů. Kvantitativní na základě on- line dotazníkového šetření, který byl zvolen k obecnému zmapování pacientů s diabetes mellitus 2. typu a úrovně jejich motivace. A kvalitativní výzkum v podobě 4... The disease diabetes mellitus is reaching an alarming level worldwide and its prevalence is rising sharply every year. The Czech Republic has over a million patients with this disease. This is a major societal problem, where the costs of diabetes treatment, especially for the treatment of complications, are skyrocketing and burdening the economy. Therefore, we must look for ways to motivate patients to reduce weight, which can also lead to disease remission, better compensations, and a reduction in the development of complications in individual patients. People often know about a healthy diet and the need for physical activity, yet they often struggle with reducing their weight. The aim of this work was to find out how we can motivate patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to lose weight. In view of the development of motivational interviews when working with behaviour change in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, a hypothesis was established: An appropriate individualized motivational interview can positively influence the motivation to reduce weight in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
