Pandémia spôsobená vírusom SARS-CoV-2 priniesla zvýšenie pozornosti zameranej na rúška a respirátory, keď vznikali otázky o ich filtračnej účinnosti a ovplyvňujúcich parametroch ako vlhkosť, doba používania, správnosť nasadenia či na možné dekontaminačné metódy na predĺženie doby používania. V práci sú najprv popísané možné spôsoby prenosu koronavírusu SARS-CoV-2, zloženie a materiály rúšok a respirátorov. Následne sú popísané mechanizmy depozície častíc na vlákna filtra. Ďalšia časť sa zaoberá normami pre chirurgické rúška, látkové rúška a porovnaním jednotlivých noriem pre respirátory, s detailnejším popisom témy obsahu oxidu uhličitého pod respirátorom, stručným charakterizovaním nanočastíc a ich možného zlepšenia vlastností rúšok. Nasleduje vyhodnotenie filtračnej účinnosti a možných ovplyvňujúcich parametrov. Na záver sú zosumarizované potenciálne metódy opätovného použitia respirátorov a rúšok. Pandemic caused by virus SARS-CoV-2 brought high attention to face masks and raised some questions about their filtration efficiency and performance affecting parameters such as high humidity, long term usage, fit factor, or possible decontamination methods for usage prolonging. In this thesis, mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 transmission and structure and materials of face masks are firstly discussed. Then mechanisms of particle deposition on filter fibers are described. Subsequently standards of surgical masks, cloth masks and respirators are described and compared, with detail on carbon dioxide concentration under respirator. Nanoparticles and their possible effects on enhancing face mask parameters are briefly characterized. Then filtration efficiency and affecting parameters are evaluated. And finally possible decontamination methods for face masks reusability are summarized.
