Řezné materiály na bázi diamantu patří mezi významné řezné materiály využívané v dnešním strojírenství. Unikátní vlastnosti diamantu umožňují efektivně obrábět i těžkoobrobitelné materiály. Současné technologie syntézy umožňují úpravou parametrů syntézy vyrobit diamant o požadovaných vlastnostech. Pro efektivní využití diamantových nástrojů je nutné zvolit diamant s vhodnými charakteristikami vzhledem k aplikaci. Cutting tools based on diamond belong to important cutting tools used in today's mechanical engineering. The unique properties of diamond enable it to machine effectively even difficult-to-machine materials. Currently it is possible to manufacture particular sort of diamond by adjusting the parameters of synthesis. To use diamond tools efficiently, it is necessary to choose a diamond with appropriate application characteristics.
