Návrh urbanisticko – architektonickej štúdie vnútrobloku slúži ako ideový koncept konverzie historického mestského bloku Ľubľane a zároveň ponúka možné odpovede na problematiku zahusťovania centier miest, využitia vágnych mestských priestorov, ktoré stratili svoj význam. Prvá časť návrhu sa zaoberá riešením mikrourbanizmu vnútrobloku, ktorý v súčasnosti prechádza mnohými stavebnými úpravami, ktoré ale nakoniec viedli k jeho devastácií a degradácii prostredia. Návrh urbanizmu reaguje na živelnosť mestského organizmu, rešpektuje jeho jedinečný kontext a má za úlohu vytvoriť prirodzené prostredie, ktoré je schopné stať sa súčasťou lokality bez narušenia jej pôvodnej integrity a charakteru.Druhá časť návrhu predstavuje architektonickú štúdiu Kultúrneho centra s divadelnou scénou, ktorého idea a koncept vznikli ako výsledok úvah o zahusťovaní mesta a využívaní potenciálu „prázdnych miest” za účelom priniesť nové kvality a nový impulz života. Rovnako uplatňuje aj poznatky z diela Christophera Alexandra a jeho Jazyka vzorov, ktorý slúžil ako teoretický základ a veľký zdroj inšpirácie. Analytická časť a proces práce prirodzene vyústili do programu kultúrneho centra a divadla, ako vhodného a chýbajúceho prvku mesta, ktorý vytvorí silné centrum aktivity naprieč rozličnými vekovými skupinami a komunitou. Organizácia hmotovej štruktúry jednotlivých náplní a rozdelenie programu odpovedá na otázky urbanizmu, konkrétnych predstáv o fungovaní lokality, kvality prostredia a vytvárania pozitívnej geometrie verejného priestoru. Funkčná náplň v centre odzrkadľuje myšlienku zahusťovania v rámci organizácie priestoru a vytvára organizmus mesta v meste. Termín zahusťovania nie je myslený primárne ako zahusťovanie formálne, ale obsahové, ktoré prináša množstvo nových, rôznorodých aktivít do riešeného územia.
The design of the urban - architectural study of the city block serves as an ideological concept of the reconversion of the historic city block of Ljubljana and at the same time offers possible answers to the problem of thickening city centers, the use of vague urban spaces that have lost their significance. The first part of the proposal deals with the solution of micro urbanism of the inner block, which is currently undergoing many building modifications, which eventually led to its devastation and degradation of the environment. The design of urbanism responds to the naturalness of the urban organism, respects its unique context, and aims to create a natural setting that can become part of the site without compromising its original integrity and character. The second part of the design is an architectural study of the Cultural Center with a theatrical scene, whose idea and concept arose as a result of thinking about densifying the city and using the potential of "empty places" to bring new qualities and a new impulse to life. The process also applies the knowledge from the work of Christopher Alexander and his Language of Patterns, which served as a theoretical basis and a great source of inspiration. The analytical part and the process of work naturally resulted in the program of the cultural center and theater, as a suitable and missing element of the city, which will create a strong center of activity across different age groups and communities. The organization of the material structure of the individual contents and the division of the program answers the questions of urbanism, specific ideas about the functioning of the site, the quality of the environment, and the creation of a positive geometry of public space. The functional content in the center reflects the idea of thickening within the organization of space and creates the organism of the "city in the city". The term thickening is not meant primarily as a formal thickening, but as content, which brings many new, diverse activities to the area addressed.
