Tato práce se věnuje problematice mobilní sítě 3. generace nazývané UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System). Zkoumá parametry ovlivňující chování její přístupové části UTRAN (UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network), kde je nutné zajistit potřebnou kvalitu služeb QoS (Quality of Services). Cílem práce je tedy simulace a vyhodnocení scénářů nasazení služeb reálného času i služeb přenosu dat na pozadí do mobilních sítí UMTS v prostředí Opnet Modeler. V první části je krátký úvod do teorie této technologie. Jsou zde popsány požadavky a cíle, kmitočtový plán, architektura sítě i zajištění kvality služeb v síti UMTS. Praktickou úlohou bylo sestavení modelu sítě UMTS v prostředí OPNET Modeler, nastavení jednotlivých prvků pro správnou funkčnost sítě a konfigurace parametrů pro podporu kvality služeb na všech mobilních stanicích pro dané aplikace. V poslední fázi bylo potřeba porovnat statistiky simulovaného modelu bez podpory QoS a modelu s podporou QoS. V programu OPNET Modeler jsem si ověřil své znalosti a předpokládané výsledky simulací byly potvrzeny. Posledním úkolem bylo vytvořit laboratorní úlohu na základě získaných zkušeností. This work deals with the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System problems. It researches the parameters of influencing the UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network behaviour where is the Quality of Services support necessary. The aim of this master’s thesis is the simulation and evaluation of scenarios running real-time UMTS services in Opnet Modeler environment. In the first part is the short introduction to this technology problem. The requirements and the aims, the frequency plan, the network architecture and the Quality of Services support in UMTS are described. Creating the mobile network in the OPNET Modeler environment, configuration of the particular elements with the correct functionality and finally the parameters configuration for the Quality of Service at all workstations was the practical part of this work. At last phase was needed to compare the final statistics of the model without QoS support and the model with QoS support. I verified my knowledge in the OPNET Modeler program and the expected simulation results were confirmed. The final part of the thesis was creating the laboratory problem on the basis experience gained.
