Tato práce se zabývá problematikou termodynamiky turbovrtulových motorů. V úvodu je čtenář seznámen s historií leteckých motorů, po které následuje porovnání pístových a turbovrtulových motorů. V této části je také popsán princip práce těchto motorů, jejich hlavních charakteristik a především výhod. Hlavní část práce je věnována samotné termodynamice turbovrtulového motoru, hlavně z hlediska algoritmu výpočtu. V této části nebylo opomenuto odvození vztahu pro tahovou sílu vrtulového pohonu. Poslední část popisuje současné vývojové trendy při navrhování a samotné konstrukci letadlových pohonných jednotek spolu s přednostmi turbovrtulového pohonu. This research deals with issues of turboprop engines from the perspective of thermodynamics. In introduction, the reader is familiar with history of aircrafts engines. Furthermore, this work presents a comparison of piston and turboprop engines. In this section also describes the working principle of these engines and their main characteristics and advantages. The main third part focused on the thermodynamics of the turboprop engine, mainly in terms of the algorithm for calculation. This work is also included deduce formula for tensile strength of turboprop engine. The last part describes current trends in the design and construction of aircraft propulsion units, together with the advantages of turboprop engine.
