Využívání odpadního tepla z výpočetních systémů je poměrně novou oblastí. Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo ucelení již známých informací z tohoto odvětví, včetně podrobnější popisu již fungujících řešení. V práci jsou popsány způsoby chlazení, které se používají v datacentrech a především možnosti, jak s odpadním teplem nakládat. V závěru je ukázáno, jak vyhodnotit vhodnost využití odpadního tepla vzhledem k výkonu datacentra i návratnosti dané investice. Using waste heat from computer systems is quiet a new area of research. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to summarize known information from this field, including descriptions of already running data centers. There are described ways of cooling which are used in data centers and mainly possibilities how to use waste heat. In the end there is shown how to evaluate suitability of using waste heat in view of data center power as well as return.
