Předmětem bakalářské práce je zmapování korejského herního průmyslu v 21.století, jeho porovnání se zeměmi v regionu a pohled na demografii hráčů. V první části práce budou vysvětleny základní pojmy, typy her a platforem, na tyto naváže prezentace korejského herního průmyslu. Hlavním tématem výzkumu bude srovnání se zeměmi v regionu, konkrétně s čínským a japonským herním průmyslem. V rámci tohoto srovnání budou vyzdvihnuty významné společnosti, vývojářská studia a prominentní herní tituly, které reprezentují Koreu, Čínu a Japonsko na světovém trhu. Další část práce bude zaměřena na hráčskou základnu a profesionální hráče Korejské republiky, opět ve srovnání s Čínou a Japonskem. The aim of this thesis is to map the korean gaming industry in the 21st century, it's comparison with countries in the region and a look at the demographics of the players. In the first part of the thesis I am explaining basic terms involved with the industry, genres of games and gaming platforms, continued by a summary of the korean gaming industry. The main theme of the research is the comparison with countries in the region, particularly with the chinese and japanese gaming industry. During the comparison some influential companies, game studios and important game titles representing Korea, China and Japan are going to be highlighted. The next part of the thesis is focused on the player base and professional players of Korea, again in comparison with China and Japan.
