Disertační práce se zabývá fenoménem poválečných Displaced Persons, tedy osobami, které byly přemístěny v důsledku událostí druhé světové války. V návaznosti na mezinárodní výzkum problematiky jej nahlíží v československém kontextu, jednak z pohledu, jak se československé orgány k řešení problému postavily, jednak zacílením pozornosti na samotnou skupinu československých Displaced Persons. Soustředí se na spolupráci se západními Spojenci a na území, které jimi bylo po konci války spravováno. Těžištěm práce je rok 1945, tedy období, kdy probíhala intenzivní péče a repatriace Displaced Persons v původně stanoveném pojetí. V samostatné kapitole je předložen vývoj Displaced Persons jako badatelského tématu a základní zkoumané otázky s tím spojené. Druhá část studuje mezinárodní i československé struktury, které zajišťovaly péči o přemístěné, a to v několika časových rovinách. Nejprve je zasazena do dlouhodobého institucionálního i myšlenkového vývoje organizovaná péče vytvořená pro péči o Displaced Persons. Dále je popsáno, jak se v období druhé světové války plánovala i konstituovala spolupráce a síť institucí, které měly přemístěné osoby zahrnout do své kompetence. Vzápětí je sledován vlastní průběh procesu organizace Displaced Persons a jejich repatriace během r. 1945, a to zejména se zaměřením na... This dissertation explores the phenomenon of Post-World War II Displaced Persons, i.e. persons who were relocated due to the events of World War II. Following international research on the issue, this thesis examines it in the Czechoslovak context, both in terms of how the authorities in Czechoslovakia approached the problem and by directing attention to the group of Czechoslovak Displaced Persons themselves. It also discusses the cooperation with the Western Allies and focuses on the territory that was administered by them after the end of the war. The focal point of the thesis is the year 1945, a period when intensive efforts to care for and repatriate Displaced Persons (as originally understood) took place. A separate chapter outlines the development of Displaced Persons as a research topic and the principal research questions associated with it. The second part of the thesis investigates the international and Czechoslovak structures that provided care for the displaced, across several temporal levels. First, the organized efforts created to care for Displaced Persons are set in the long-term institutional and ideological context.
