Vývoj a specifika úmrtnosti na vybraná onemocnění postihující dýchací soustavu v kontextu pandemie COVID-19 v Česku Abstrakt Hlavním tématem této diplomové práce je vývoj úmrtnosti a jeho případná specifika na vybraná onemocnění postihující dýchací soustavu člověka v Česku mezi lety 2000-2021 v kontextu pandemie COVID-19. Pro potřeby práce byly zkoumané příčiny smrti vybrány napříč kapitolami 10. revize Mezinárodní klasifikace nemocí uveřejněné World Health Organization. Mezi analyzované příčiny úmrtí byla zařazena pneumonie, chřipka, chronická obstrukční plicní nemoc, zhoubný novotvar průdušky (bronchu) a plíce a onemocnění COVID-19. Prvním cílem práce je zhodnotit vývoj úmrtnosti na vybraná onemocnění v Česku za posledních dvaadvacet let (2000-2021) s přihlédnutím k pandemickému období. Druhým cílem je popsat sezónní rozložení úmrtí na celou skupinu onemocnění dýchací soustavy u člověka, které je v práci porovnáváno s relativním rozložením úmrtí na COVID-19. V analytické části bylo využito standardizované míry úmrtnosti, dvojrozměrné dekompozice změny naděje dožití při narození a dekompozice měsíční časové řady počtu úmrtí. Během pandemického období se snížila naděje dožití při narození u obou pohlaví, přičemž mezi lety 2019-2021 se nejvíce na změně naděje dožití podílel COVID-19. Pohledem na sezónní... Development and specificity of mortality from selected diseases affecting the respiratory system in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in Czechia Abstract The main topic of this thesis is the development of mortality and its possible specifics for selected diseases affecting the human respiratory system in Czechia between 2000-2021, in the context of COVID-19 pandemic. For the purposes of the thesis, the causes of death were selected across the chapters of the 10th revision of the International Classification of Diseases published by the World Heatlth Organization. The analyzed causes of death included pneumonia, influenza, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, malignant neoplasm of the lung and bronchus and COVID-19 The first objective of this thesis is to evaluate the trends of mortality from selected diseases in our country over the last twenty- two years (2000-2021) in the context of the pandemic period. The second objective is to describe the seasonal distribution of deaths from a whole group of respiratory diseases, which is compared with the relative distribution of deaths from COVID-19.
