Katyňský masakr byl jedním z nejbrutálnějších činů stalinské éry, který se odehrál v 1940 a odstartoval tak několikaletý hon za viníkem. Největším soupeřem se pro Sovětský svaz stalo nacistické Německo, které se nechtělo nechat neprávem obvinit z vraždy polských důstojníků. Tato událost má však mnohem větší vliv, než se na první pohled může zdát. Katyňský masakr značně ovlivnil i české prostředí. V rámci vyšetřovacích akcí byly vytvářeny zvláštní skupiny utvořené z předních odborníků, jako například osobnosti z řad lékařů či novinářů. Do těchto skupin se dostalo i pár představitelů z Čech, díky nimž můžeme nahlédnout na celou událost ještě blíže. The Katyn massacre was one of the most brutal acts of the Stalin era, which took place in 1940 and started a several-year hunt for the culprit. The Soviet Union's biggest rival was Nazi Germany, which did not want to be wrongly accused of murdering Polish officers. But the incident had a much bigger impact than it might at first look. The Katyn massacre also had a significant impact for the Czech context. As part of the investigations, special groups were formed, made up of leading experts, such as doctors and journalists. These groups included a few representatives from the Czech lands, thanks to whom we can take an even closer look at the whole event.
